If the jf comes with correct color tachy and a good carbon case it should not be difficult to put the other mods like Zorro. If jf price is 850 then it less than 1/3 what Zorro think his watch worth. The sand blasting finish is not a 1k mod and people like jamztio/stevenlee can paint dials metal red. look closely zorro dial and you see it not like the gen pattern. best dial mod pattern is use factory dial and repaint like jamztio/stevenlee.

there is a difference between what could be done and what there is available, like anything if that is too expensive for you, just move on...
But saying that the mods and work that Zorro has put in this project does not justify the price is asking is to completely miss the point ! :

bro you right about whether jamz or steve will undertake the dial work. there is many people here that also have the talent to do this stuff. i not put down zorro watch on his price. he is entitled to charge what he likes and like you say its exclusive.
this discussion is about the jf gp we expect to see after cny and when people keep mention it will not touch the z-gp i want to share my own input on the pro's contra. another point is the z-gp gen strap does not sit well on the case due to plots. big question is will the jf plots be better.

While I've investment 3 years on the gp project, many sleepless nights and you have the nerve to criticise my hard work This gp not a finished sale version.. And regarding my dial I'll assume you never seen the gen.. So no dial colour can match the gen.. Not even close special paint or not.. Mines been matched with gen to hand!and it's not paint it's the same process ap use. Also my tachy and sub-title been matched with the gen
This total passion and hobby for me but as my project progressed many pm. Asking to also build for the exclusive club of 10 only. Which only started as just project solely for me! J12 gp is all speculation let's see what the have to offer .. I know they never used gen gp to rep there version

this is a open discussion on the j factory gp we expect to see after cny. if you post your modded gp here then we have the right to highlight any flaws. i do not make any negative comments in your thread. all i say was if we get a gp with the correct color tach and good case its possible to make it as good as yours. we all have different budgets and we can live with different flaws.

Of course that we are all entitled to an opinion but statements should be made with all facts in hands. So @garuda I assume you have handled a Zorro GP? And a gen to compare side by side.
I have not participated on this thread until I saw Zorro's GP.
I know the gen quite well. Are they the same? No. I don't think you can turn a $700 rep in a gen watch. Never. Can you get the Franken look and feel of the gen? Totally. Zorro's GP is today as we speak the closest thing to gen. From variations of greys to FC constancy. Tachy and subdials have this gen feel look. The colorless double AR the repolished custom screws. The case back. Everything is hand crafted with love and passion.
Is it worth it? To me YES. Is it upgradable? Maybe we need to see the J version and later a v2 or 3 of noob. The movement decoration can be perfected. That's for sure. But the time and efforts put in this project is completely insane. From sourcing parts, reverse engineering the rep, hand painted micro parts and you name it. I don't know how much you think your time is worth but I value mine well over $100. And if we talk overtime as this is a hobby you can double that. So whatever the asking price is, it's a gift to own a unique gen-like timepiece. Oh and I forgot, Zorro is always around not in a Chinese underground factory but effing London. So if you need something he will be there for you. That my 2cts AFTER I met him and his work in person. I was simply impressed.

This is all about accuracy to the genuine model. With what the factories have been putting out lately with all the flaws in them, I am not optimistic about the JF version being close to gen. Will it be better than Noob? Probably... Will I buy it, probably also because I love the watch.
But there is no way they will produce a version as close to Zorros. The only almost perfect rep was the bee and 44 FC ROO and those were easier to replicate. The tachy and dial are very hard to do on the GP. The Chinese couldn't even get the grey color right on the Schumi, Grey Themes, Trulli, etc, so what makes you think they will on the GP?
Did you see the Ginza and the 7 on the dial? What happened there? Also, photos of the gen do not show the true colors and quality of the watch. I have seen the gen myself as well and it's def going to be hard to rep, but we can only hope for the best...
Zorros dedication and passion for his project cannot be replicated in my opinion because hey, the Chinese want to make money so wait for V2, V3, V4, maybe V7 like the diver perhaps till they maybe come 3/4 close... Of course I sure hope I'm wrong, but history has shown us otherwise...

Well, i havent followed the whole discussion about zorros gp, just peaked in here and there.
But if i didnt miss anything, all i have seen so far are pictures that look like they have been taken with 10 year old nokia phone.
Not sure if people have some super vision or something, but am i the only one that thinks its really hard to tell how well build that watch is from those images?
Im not shit talking anything and i love when people put so much passion in this hobby, its just that id love to see some high quality images.

@paristoto @thedonsl yes that is the type of discussion we should be have. i also agree with @fire007 about moving on if the z-gp is too expensive so that why i like to think j12 can create a quality base watch. then may be we can slot in a zorro dial or tachy to complete. what we do know is j-factory can make a decent carbon case now and the AR is not too bad. also know the imaknock case is not available.
I don't agree with @paristoto about handling the z-gp or gen. i pointed out the z-gp dial tapestry is not like gen and the noob plots don't work with gen strap. i don't need to handle a watch when i can see it in a picture.

As I've mentioned, Z is the best chance for future GP owners to facelift their GP. The tachy ring alone is already a winner! I'll admire him forever just for that 
and what's best about his parts are that they're consistent. Even I can't guarantee that I can achieve the same result as what I have currently.
About the end links though, hopefully JF doesn't blatantly copy Noob end links. It'll be a disaster if they do so.

always admire your GP mate. my GP need sandblasting, subdial decal. but can't source it.
