Nice. Why they put a extra screw in plate mod?
Exactly, LOL. There should not be a screw in the 1 o'clock position, but a recess and a hole. I cannot believe they got that wrong. At least the angle and the spacing of the CdG looks ok. The finish is ok too, and the screw heads are polished.
Pros:
1.) probably better case screws
2.) better 1XAR
3.) pre-fitted skeleton deco-plate (albeit wrong)
4.) Maybe better strap
5.) movement deco plate (no one will see it: can be transferred to an open case back model that does not have one)
6.) No hole clasp
7.) RBs back in stock!
Cons:
1.) wrong DW font (will need to open the movement to replace DW, so why not install a skeleton dial deco plate then?)
2.) thick hand pinion ring width
Conclusion: If you have a modded Noob, I would not replace with a JF. But if you want to complete your RB collection, then buy the JFs: the RG RB Noobs rarely come up for sale, as we all know. The RBs are some of the best ROOs in design.
