The first pictures that were released were of the black dial and that's why I ordered it, the gaps in the white dial are meant to be shiny that's why it sticks out more

It would be easy to pull off as they both use the same movement. Are you thinking TF dial in JF watch?
Let me give my totally honest opinion now I have it. It's almost a pile of shit. Bracelet screw heads chewed up (didn't see that in the QC pics), bracelet screws so impossibly tight that I ended up snapping the head off one trying to get it out. Bracelet link polishing nowhere near as good as the TF/V6 strap (clearly a different maker). Case back screws all have screwdriver marks. I am totally gutted and feel like throwing it out of the window of my 18th floor apartment.
So what little good there is: bezel is nice, bezel screws are really good and correct size, crown is really good too and even the silver dial isn't as bad as we think. It looks like a tapisserie dial should look (a mix of matt and sparkle so to speak) and has the look on the wrist.
But my best advice is don't bother unless you're desperate. It's crap like this that made me give up on reps years ago and don't anyone dare tell me to buy the gen if I'm not happy.

Wow, terrible disappointment. Sorry about that hub6152. You seemed so excited about it. Maybe do a review with photos.
I'm not posting pics since its time for bed here and I'm too annoyed with it just now!! I need to sleep on it and I'm away tomorrow! But I can say there were screwdriver marks on the case (around the strap screws) and various other scratches here and there that I didn't see on the QC pics. Incidentally I was pressured into accepting this by the TD (yeah right) after I queried a couple of things with the QC pics. I have to accept some responsibility since I should have stood my ground and accepted the refund I was offered as an alternative. So I'm stuck with it now.
Oh yeah - thickness is 10.98mm. The case only (the xtals front and rear add the difference) is 10.34mm
Well, it passed the thickness test. It is the same thickness as TF at least.
With TF I also had bad case screws for the bracelet, and I had to redrill and replace the rep screws with OEM screws (I had a few sets for the RO in my box).

TF is 10.30mm measured across the xtals. So it's not as thin as the TF. The bezel on the JF is slightly shallower which compensates.
I know what you mean by "pressured" - my TD also said I was not to satisfy so I had to accept this watch or get a refund. My watch looked overall really good (bezel screws, bracelet...) but there were so many tiny flaws that really added up & after a day struggling, I rejected the watch. I think we can't expect consistent high-JF-quality for whatever reason with this watch.

What gets me is that in another post a member describes how he's been in negotiation with a TD to get a perfect FC Diver and between them have gone through multiple pieces in the quest for perfection. I've spent a lot of money with this TD so I expected better. But to be honest the Chinese TD's don't really give a shit about Lao Wei's (foreigners), they pretend to but really just want the money.
