we need side by side comparison to determine which is better, voting may never end here without clear comparison to justify pros and cons of both watches because of tricky sunburst and many more minor aspects.

ZF better up their QC and assembly processes. I've been talking to a few guys on our other rep forums and they are having a huge amount of issues as well.

Dials flaking/movements loose/marks and scratches on the dial/unclean crystals. Seriously

Is it only for particular 3878 model or in general IWC from ZF including BP, 5001, Mk vii , 3777 etc?

I am really looking to be able to buy a good rep of this watch. I like it soo much better than the 3777 with the two sub dials vs 3. It just looks better.

Depends on the dealer. If possible, try to request record with flying chrono and check the data wheel to avoid unrequested print flaws on the wheel for example etc.
