Yes first time opening a cashback ever since joining the forum. And indeed cover was jamming the rotor. Thx noctus.

I might be having a similar issue, as the power reserve on my 3878 has gone from many hours to just about 3 or 4. This is after wearing it all day. I figure, the rotor must not be spinning while I'm wearing it. So you just opened it, removed some antimagnetic cover, discarded it, and put the caseback back on? Is the antimagnetic cover between the rotor and the caseback?

Yes and yes. Just a loose cover ontop of the movement. Real easy to remove, and indeed discard it.

Thanks man. Like you, I'm not typically one to check under the hood personally, but I'll give it a shot...

Can you or some one can up the video of doing this?

Mate I promise you it's easy. Once you removed the case back with any ball and some duck tape, the cover just sits on top of the movement. If all is well once you removed it and move your watch just a little the rotor will spin.
Really no video needed, and I am a noob at this and still found it easy.

Just about to order a 3777 ZF and 3878 ZF from puretime. Wondering why the 3878 ZF SS is +$50 compared to the leather version, whereas the 3777 ZF is just +$30. Is there a difference between the two SS bracelets?

could be just incentive to choose one over the other. chances are it's probably the same exact bracelet

So both my beloved IWC watches Spitfire and 7 days - my first IWC watches :) - arrived now, and regarding the strap(s) I discovered something strange and would therefore like to make use of the wisdom of the forum:

The deployant is that kind of curved that I think it is supposed to sit in the way that the clasp on the outer side should be right in the middle of the wrist, am I correct (pic 1)? However, if this is the case either my wrist is too large or the short end of the strap is too short, it sits close to the side of the wrist (pic 2). My wrist is not too big, it's just a 7" wrist which makes me wonder what I might have done wrong. The rep strap which came with the watch has 140/55 lenght. Any ideas, anyone?

I think pic 2 is correct, because then the deployant itself sits in the middle

If you look at the shape of the deployant, IMO it is curved that way that it should precisely not sit in the middle, otherwise it would be kind of flat.

Having it for about 3 weeks now the movement runs well. Smooth seconds, no stuttering at all, great pr and running on time pretty well actually.
Maybe not representative but so far definitely so good.

I think I know what u mean. But I think it's a design thing more than a functional thing. So as long as the bottom part (which is curved) sits comfortably on your wrist you're good.

That's indeed the case - it's not comfortable. So since I was about to order new real gator straps anyway I take them in XL size. ;)
