There was more turnout from african american voters as well.

What was the Mormon turnout?

A much higher percentage of African Americans turned out in 2012 than 2008. Did Obama get blacker during that period?

As long as we have different races, racism wont go away.

Still wont go away.

The Japanese are heterogeneous so they find other reasons to discriminate. There are instances of companies hiring private investigators to find out what cast your ancestors belonged to before hiring to make sure their great great great grandparents were not poor surfs.

That would be an interesting read. Can you post a link by any chance. Reason i am asking is because i thought that in modern times, cast system was only prevalent in Indian culture. I though other places ditched them(cast system) long time ago. Cast-ism is way worse than racism.

There was a 20/20 or 60 minutes on it about 5 years ago when google released historical maps of Japan that could be used to identify neighborhoods back for hundreds of years. The government asked them to take them down because it would make that type of descrimination.

Here is a current article on this type of discrimination.

This has nothing to do with Obama being blacker or grayer or whatever. Poster that i quoted made the statement of 95% of African American people voting for Obama. I fetched a source with different dimension to the original statement. What you are talking about is RELIGION. As far as i know, Mormonism is not a RACE. I guess Obama had the same effect on African American voters as JFK had on catholic voters. See what i did there.

And why are we talking about Obama when we are talking about racism is beyond my understanding. I guess it goes with territory.

As long as the word RACE is thrown around so liberally as if it actually had any meaning, racism will be present in SOME more or less obvious form.

Racism is a by-product of humans' ill-applied cognitive ability, prime emotional need and ignorance.
I believe it is also part of an outdated animalistic survival instinct, from which arises a need for belonging to a group, which invariably leads to automated hostility (perhaps partly due to fear of) towards other groups.

As long as humans exist racism will exist.

But we can learn to identify it in ourselves and our thought-words-actions and attempt to better ourselves!

Gotta make light of these type of serious issues or they will suck the soul out of you. Racism isn't going anyplace anytime soon, best we can do is laugh in its face.

I experience racism every day at my job and in the public in the USA.
Are you sure it is racism?

The only person who doesn't ever experience racisim is the white man!

Are you serious with that statement? Chris Rock is an entertainer, not a philosopher. I am not white(European american) and i think a white men is one of the most discriminated against people in American. And i am from south.

Bullshit! Ever been to Asia? There are near as many racist Asians as there are racist Whites. Or ask a Greek/Italian/Polish etc immigrant in a lot of parts of the world. Any one who says the White Man is immune to racism is kidding themselves.

As a person of color, employees at the company I work at say the only reason why I received 5 promotions the past 3 years is because of the diversity policy the company I work for has implemented.

The employees who work for me constantly berate President Obama with I have lunch with them and or meet with them because of their hatred that President Obama is African American.

The employees who work for me listen to right wing talk radio shows that spew hatred and racism about my beliefs and culture.

With all due respect is it not possible that is partly true? I'm sure it's not the only reason, 5 promotions means you obviously deserve it but diversity policies don't do prospects any harm for those they are designed to assist do they?

The employees who work for me listen to right wing talk radio shows that spew hatred and racism about my beliefs and culture. What, all of them?

They are saying that because they are jealous of your promotion and all they can do is blame your race because they cant raise their bar high enough.

I berate president Obama on some of his policies and his politics. It could be just that. I don't berate him because he is African American. I am also what you call a person of color(insulting term in my opinion but whatever floats your boat. If you wont get that out of your head that you are person of color, others wont either) but that has nothing to do with me not liking or liking of his politics. If we were to think that all the white people thought like your coworkers, Obama would have never been elected because majority of votes he received out of all the votes HE received were white votes. Most African Americans probably did vote for president Obama but African American votes are still less than 20% of total votes.

Right wing talk radio shows? Freedom of speech. If their beliefs are conservative, they are free to do so. That does not make them racist at all. May be they are listening to it because they are against abortion or illigal immigration or etc. You get the idea. What i am saying is that somebody listening to Right wing agenda radio show is not a racist because of them listening to it. They could be racist and listening to right wing radio show, there is difference. I hope you see the point i am trying to make here.
