Sorry mate I'm not famillair with "flutie", and I feel I kind of need to know what it means in order for the sentence to make sence. :D

She plays the flute in marching band, hence a "flutie" and the french horn player calls her self a "frenchie"

WBK is USA based hence, very good english lol

Can you recommend me a Dealer that is good at sourcing, but whom also has a decent command of the English language.
Many thanks.

Its disgusting those damn chinese not learning english.

I agree with some answers.
These post are arrogant and impolite.
My native language is not English and I never had communication problems with chinese dealers.

I normally refrain from commenting on other people's grammar, especially in forums, but for this occasion, I will make an exception. Before complaining about others' english, which as a second or third language I can excuse as less than perfect, you should seek a mastery of it yourself. I refer, of course, to your atrocious misappropriation of the word "whom."

Whom is the most misused word in the english language, and is most often misused by uneducated people trying to sound smarter than they ever will be.

"Whom" is the object pronoun of "who," which you should have used as the subject of your sentence.

Who gives me something?
Who speaks english?

Whom do I give something to? Or for those who object to prepositions at the end of a sentence:
To whom do I give something?
With whom can I converse in perfect english? Not the OP

P.s.
Lets not forget that China is technically the largest english speaking country in the world. More people speak english there than in any other country.

Are you serious with this post?!?!? Holy goodness this is more stupid than his misuse of whom!! OK if he says who do i send the money to or whom do i send the money to NO ONE is going to misunderstand what he is asking!! Jeez some people are just asshats.
Look the OP ask a perfectly normal question...he was having trouble understanding SOME of the dealers..period..he did not insult anyone and i am sure some dealers wish we would speak better in their language as well..it is what it is plain and simple..he didn't mean anything by it he just ask a simple question. Let this pass for what it is and get back to the hobby!! I would rather not speak as well and have common sense than picking apart something so harmless!!

OP must ask a lot of questions if he has problems ordering watches from our dealers. Damn I feel sorry for what they have to go through.

I think that ckiffkool is taking some unnecessary flack here for what was, obviously, a joke.

+1 Facepalm generally indicates tongue-in-cheek remark. No need to get hyper-sensitive and let anyone who cannot list the 8 parts of speech cast the first stone

Read my post #8

ThinkBachs has trained me to interpret these attempts at humor to be nothing more than that.

But, it would be nice if ckiffkool would confirm that he was joking.

Some of you talk like all the TDs are good communicators. I've dealt with four now and have had a wide range of experiences - some are a lot better than others in the communication department.

I think the question here could have been better phrased as "which dealer offers the best customer service".

I bet some dealers are good on price whereas others are good on pre-sales help while others are very good at quality control and communcation.

The QC actually is my pet peeve so far. On my first rep order, I told the TD that the bezel pearl was not aligned with the 12 hour marker. The response I got was that it was aligned and it's just the angle of the pic. Wrong - it was not aligned. To me this kind of lying is just inexcusable for a TD - it only hurts them as they have lost my trust and are missing out on close to $1K of business I've thrown at another dealer.

On my second order the rolex etched logo wasn't aligned to 6 and the cyclops was a little off. Also, the 9 bezel marker looked crooked (didn't point to the center of the dial). On a chronograph I am ordering, the minute register looks like it was resetting one minute short to 29 minutes rather than 0. I've asked the dealer about these issues and haven't heard back for two days now. I have no idea if the guy is annoyed with having to go back to the factory or reset the hands or the crystal on this sub or if he's just busy.

What I don't understand is why the dealers accept this kind of stuff from the factory in the first place and then send us pics of it hoping we'll say "send it". I posted about the mis-aligned etch in the rolex forum and most people said that it wasn't that bad and that they would accept it and then have a watchmaker reset it and waterproof it. I'm not sure I agree with that point of view. It should at least be as good as possible at the start though that may not be the reality of the rep world.

Personally, I could care less about gen construction and minor authenticity details but once I've researched and chosen a rep I want all the markers and bezels to line up correctly. I don't think that is too much to ask for on a $200 watch!

:biglaugh:I just love this thread. I think the fact that cliffkool had to confirm he was joking goes back to the original poster's point.

Good communication is important. There is nothing wrong in asking for a recommendation on a trusted dealer that excels in this area.

FWIW, I also recommend Reg (Narikaa).
