5’10 with 7.25” wrists and athletic build. Would the 15450 be too small ? I’ve been wanting the 15202 but zf and xf aren’t too promising imo

I'm 6 feet with the same body description as you. Have 6,8 inch (17,3cm) wrist and it wears very well. Due to large/long case it would wear about 1-2 mm more than 37 cm I would say.

Here is another factory on my wrist (same size).

IMO you could easily wear a 41mm RO. If you were avoiding them thinking your wrist might be too small, give them a look. I have a ~6.5" flat wrist and my 15202 is awkward - the dial is too small for the case, making the proportions look and feel odd. The 15510 is more natural looking on my wrist.

I'd go 41mm for a sportier look, and 37mm for a dressier look, skipping the 39mm altogether (unless you really valued the thinness). I plan on selling my 15202 when I'm tenured enough here.

Appreciate the help. Is your 15202 xf ?

Yep - outside of it not fitting me well, I like the piece. Dial's great, f&f is great.

This is one of the issues I have with buying reps - it's really hard to see/try some of this stuff on in person (there's no AP boutique near me) so you kind of have to just go for it.

I think it's just a matter of personal taste. I am 1.80m tall with a 17cm wrist and I find the 15202 perfect with its 39mm diameter and slim thickness. In addition, it is the closest to the 5402, the first Royal Oak. Unfortunately, the zf dial is matt, the xf one is grey and dp dial too electric. I've had a 15500 zf in the past but it was really too big for me. The 15400 despite the same 41mm was definitely better due to the smaller bezel but unfortunately my jf was too thick and I sold that too 😅
I don't like the proportions of the 15450, but maybe if the thickness of this IPF release is ok I will try it!
If I want a more sporty royal oak I chose the offshore.

Would you rather have your XF 15202 or a silver ZF 15500 as your only AP ?

I prefer the 15510 over both - it has better dial symmetry to my eye. That said, in repworld the 15510 shares a case and bracelet with the 15500, so if my only options were 15500 and 15202, I'd go 15500. I just don't see the 15202 as a daily wear kind of piece.

Haha, when you have (too) many watches as I have then there isn't such a watch as a daily wearer. 🤣

From what I gathered
37 : no good rep so far
39 : no clone motor and pizza hand
41 : the best but too big for regular wrists.

We only have to wait for good 37 or 39 to be released
