I tried some on today and, well I love them apart from the 2K GBP price tag :(

can any one advise where I can purchase as close to original (clone) of this type of watch and at the end of the day are the clones any good?

love the watch and if you guys can help will save me months of hard earned cash ;)

thanks,
fluxpattern.

I love TH. Unfortunately, I don't think there is an accurate 1887 rep. Go for a Grand Carrera with a 7750, they are beautiful.

The F1, the Aquaracer CAF2012, or the Aquaracer 500M. There are some really good reps of these models. There are some not so great ones too so do your homework.

But none of these are Carreras like the OP wanted... I agree with crossbones.. the day/date Cal.16

Hey Mate,

As stated the Day Date, and the Carrera racing edition CV2014

You wont find a good rep of the 1887 because the movement looks completely wrong without the caliper on it.

the 1887 is a very unique and special movement, 39J and aesthetically, very different to the A7750 that would most likely be in it.

However if you dont care about the movement I've seen a few good ones based on the dials from the TD's

the CV-2014 is your best bet, because it is repped as good as any other carrera, but it will have the correct model number on the case, as opposed to the CV2010, 2013 etc that all say CV2014 on the caseback. Also, when sourcing a model, dont forget to check obvious differences, especially the blue screws, some dealers can source plain silver screws, others cant. remember to verify because imo thats an obvious killer.

Does anyone know where I could find a day/date with the arrow on the G and silver screws?
Looked everywhere to no avail :(
Think I'm going to have to go for the CV2014, as this is the only Carrera I found with silver screws and an arrowed G.....

For me it's not only the best, but the nicer Tag. I'm talking about the Day Date, like most of ther previous posts.

I asked a dealer to help me pick between the two of day/date and the cv2014 racing, although the day date is between $50 - $80 more expensive than the racing he picked the racing!
Said it is a better quality watch.
And of course, it has the arrows on the G!

Ive got this one, but now is crashed, my baby crash it to the floor !!

This one. My 2nd rep purchase :) Excellent watch.

If you are real fussy you can have the date dial switched and swap some blue screws for silver...but no-one would notice!
