If you could only have ONE Rolex, what would it be?

So, which one is it? Can I buy one or do I need to have one built?

@Zeta, can you provide a link from a TD that has this on their catalog? I contacted a couple and they say it's nt available.
I think @Zeta is confusing the 14060 with the ceramic 114060 and 124060 models. You could get a 5513 if you're into 4-digit vintage models, as those are still being produced.

The 14060 is not repped, and probably never will. If it was, there are many of us on the forum that would have one. Myself included. There was a rep made about a decade ago, but they're not very accurate and are difficult to find.

Your best bet is to build one. An ARF/BP 16610 with a new crystal, dial, lug holes, would be pretty close.

If you want a 14060, I recommend going for a 5513 build with a gen service dial or late 80s dial (both type of dials look like a 14060 dial) or go get a 14060 gen.

I once tried to build a 14060 with gen movement/dial/hands/crown but in the end i figured that the total cost will end up being around 2/3 of the gen price. A custom mid-case was needed which can be expensive.

Yes @KushBandit is correct I overlooked that it’s a 2 line no date. Like someone mentioned your easiest route is buy the dial and have it swapped out on a rep that uses a compatible movement. If all you’re concerned with is a cleaner dial. If you build one it can turn into a rabbit hole as deep as you want to go. The feel of the newer reps is more substantial in comparison to the older models to me. The older ones tend to be light weight and rattling watches because of their bracelets. I like that about them. You can buy nice old style bracelets but they’re pricey. Just depends how deep you want to go down that rabbit hole. There’s guys on your side of the pond that are great resources for this stuff and nice people. @Karbon74 comes to mind but there’s others if he’s busy. Even a local watchmaker is a possibility if you have the dial and rep with the compatible movement. They can get dial swap sorted in no time. Good luck

This is a 6538 "Big Crown", not much in common with the 14060. No crown guards, coin edge bezel, 38mm, etc. A closer model to a 14060 would be a 5513.

Trusty has a nice selection of watches. You should look through them yourself and see if there’s something you like. @KushBandit has an eye for detail and the 5513 he suggested is certainly a good choice.
