I do love how the aluminium bezel inserts have a whole history of their own.. intriguing researching it all..
..makes the ceramic subs seem boring as hell now.

This case also had a rattling bezel.
I am going to try to put in one bezel washer.
I consider this case to be one of the older ones because of the rattling compared to the newest ARF.
The shape of the case itself is the same for JF, ARF, and the latest LV.

In my case, I bought this case because I had extra parts, but I don't think it makes sense to buy only the case again.
For example, Frankenstein with GEN dial needs ST or VN case.

Keep an eye on the M2M parts section on the forum as ST cases appear quite regularly. Viet cases less so, in my experience.

You can’t drop a gen dial in the ARF/RAF cases? I feel like the dial seat diameter is usually larger than gen for the rep cases (with some exceptions like MBW 1680).
I build a 16610LN franken the other day without issues, RAF case, VS movement, gen dial, date and hands

You can. I put gen serti dials in two RAF cases and an ARF case. All fit beautifully.
