So puretime and Sead have different versions?
Can anyone confirm if one is a BP?

Biggest thing that I see is that the crown guards need a trim, badly!
Looks to be gold on the sides of the center links of the SELs on the bracelet which is a big plus- Sead's watch doesn't appear to have gold on the sides of the center links- I hate that- an easy tell that the watch is a fake.

PT's price is a wee bit steep, but once you trim the cgs it might be a good rep.

Just realized that you can buy the eta clone for $150 less- I'd probably go that route.

Is it me or do the hour markers look like they have ss surrounds and not gold?

I don't think this is the same as the BP version that sead sells. The BP version does not have gold on the sides of the midlinks and that is a GOOD thing. It means the midlinks are wrapped, not plated. Wrapping is a much more expensive process and uses 10X as much gold as plating. It also lasts MUCH longer and can be gently polished to remove stratches---be careful with this though. The angus version does not appear to have AR on the cyclops and I don't think it's superlumed, but the dial and bezel color look a little better. The dial "may" have a little less purple in it, but it is soooo hard to tell from these pictures. PT's 16613 may be an older noob factory rep, which is a good rep, but I would probably go with the BP since. It's probably more accurate out of the box (although neither is a super rep by any means).

I still have my fingers crossed that in a year or so, TC will have a 16613 ready to go. If not, I might just bite the bullet and hunt down and gen.

Thanks for the contribution set. According to Angus his is a bp version. From his responses I'm guessing he's saying it's gold wrapped.
I'm confused though, if you see gold on the sides of the SEL it means it's plated and is not good?

This thread on rg about the same watch may help clarify some things:

No, plated is ok, it's just that wrapped is more durable. You have to make a decision as to what's more important to you. As set2374 goes on to say, neither rep is a super rep.

I'd personally go for the Angus rep (in black) and hope the sides of the center SELs were plated like in the sales picture. Then I'd start looking for a better TT bracelet as an eventual back-up.

Are you saying that if you can see gold on the sides of the SEL it's plated?

That's what Trailboss and set2374 are saying. So yes, it would be plated

All I'm saying is that if the sides of the center links on the SELs aren't (gold) plated, it's a dead giveaway that the bracelet is a rep bracelet.

I disagree. I would go for the wrapped over the plated in a second. It is impossible to see that the sides of the mid links are not gold when the watch is on your wrist. Wrapped midlinks (assuming they are wrapped reasonably well) will last a very long time and minor scratches can even be polished out. You will scratch up the midlinks if you're wear the watch. If it's plated, there's not much you can do about it other than llive with the scratches until they are bad enough that you buy a new bracelet. The best 16613 rep ever made (going out on a limb here) was the old WM9 and it had a wrapped bezel, bracelet and clasp (crown was heavily plated--as was the case for gen rolex crowns for a long long time).

Agreed. I'm all for wrapped.

So, which is more accurate...

Sead:
image13_zpsfdeaabb9.jpeg

Dial: sead - font on pt is way off, wokky rehaut or minute marks not to rehaut. Really can't tell which is closer color-wise. I do like the hour markers more on pt

crown: pt - sead's is bigger

pearl: sead? - hard to tell

insert - pt - not all numbers go to the edge on seads

rehaut - pt has engraving, sead doesn't

dw - pt - sead's is jacked!

hands - sead - pt's hour hand doesn't look as close to me

cg's - both suck

Am I missing anything?

I think the sead and pt are both from BP factory. The sead may be showing te updated pearl. I think you will be getting the same watch regardless who you order from.
