Does anyone know if the new BP 1675's would work as a base for this build? If so you would get the rivet bracelet, and movement which is nice. I guess the question is whether it would fit a coin edge.

It would work but it would take tremendous patience to completely shave off the CGs. But the shape of the case is still going ot be off, 6542 lugs are super thin and banana shaped from the side profile. Also, the dial opening for a 6542 is bigger than a 1675. So you'll need to find a 1675 dial and build it as a 1675 rather than a true 6542.

Another reason why a 6542 is THE hardest build.

It doesn't just tell time. It tells history.

Is it even possible to find a coin edge bezel that will fit BP 1675 case?

I believe its 27.5mm

I started with a 1655 case and had temporary swapped in my cartel 1675 dial / movement to see how I like it. This is the pill applied lume which I dislike. I have a new dial on the way.

Shaving the crown guards wasnt too difficult , its knowing when to stop ...
