yes, but even in Gens not uncommon. It is turnable in the right positioning by just using a pencil with a small rubber on the end. Just press the rubber against the HEV and turn it.

Hello all you PAMfreaks out in the wild,

enjoying the last days of my holiday i thought, I'll do a couple of detailed pictures of my new 243J H-Factory.
I know vs. the gen the hand color does not fit, where in reality it falls less important than in the pictures. Hands are not quite the same color as the dial indexes, a little lighter but not gen-like. It has, for clarification, the correct 60-clicks-Bezel!

I like it anyways, it is a nice change from the other 243 L or M "pabulum", imo.

Here are the images, enjoy the show! And please excuse all the fluff on the watch, I noticed it only now in macro :)

Yeah, I hear ya, but after 9 years of dumping money into this hobby, I'm not going to begrudge myself requesting another specimen, pre-shipment to correct an obvious flaw that I'd otherwise have to pay extra to have a watchsmith fix. Afterall, that's the point of QC pics. :) I just wanted validation that my eyes weren't playing tricks on me. Here's to hoping I get a good one this time!

I agree gree with you mate entirely. Regardless of if they are a fraction of the cost of gen or not we should still expect a decent piece for the price we pay. Arguably gen watches are way overpriced anyway IMHO so that is only fair to stay that so are the reps too. TDs should focus more on quality control and customer service and they will prosper even more. After all it is a fundamental issue with the crystal on your watch and one that the TDs should notice before QC pics. You deserve a piece that you can just put on and enjoy out if the box. Good luck resolving the issue and you should reject as many pieces as it takes until you are happy.

The only problem I have with the "H" offering is the very bulbous (convex) lume on the circular indices on the dial. A huge tell from arms length. It shows on the M model, and really shows on the patina version. Personally, I couldn't deal with it!

Hi all, I did a long search to find a place where ( I think ) I can post a QC pic lol.. I purchased my first Pam rep, a 243, just got the QC pics, and I think I am going to ask a somewhat dumb question... The watch looks great to me, but I just want to make sure that the markers on the bezel are not black or some dark brown, and it is just the way the light is reflecting off the polished surface of the marker in this pic? I know I can ask for some additional shots of angles to make sure, but with the time difference it will take a while, and also I don't want to hassle the TD, im sure dealing with QC pics is pain enough.. So here it is, bezel markers look black?? No way that can be? I can barely even see the numbers on them...

Actually now after looking at post #44 in this thread, which seems to have the same pic, at the same angle, from the same TD, I am thinking there is something wrong with the markers on my bezel.. The pics in post 44 look clear as a bell, the markers look good and can see the numbers clearly.. While my pic looks like black blobs.. Am I crazy?

Edit: Also, I just realized I am posting a 243 L series? in the 243J post... My bad..

Did they send you only one pic?
Numbers can't be seen in the above picture therefore it's impossible to judge them. I'd say a TD would never sell a watch with a blatant production fault, but one never knows...

TD sent a few pics, but only 1 pic of the face of the watch, I have emailed him and asked for another pic/angle... I would agree that that would be pretty obvious, but I don't think I can accept until I see a better pic of the bezel markers..

Hi all,

Here are some QC pics done on the TD's phone. Real pics coming tomorrow (including a super close-up of the dial).

Would love to hear your impressions.

Kind regards,

Cyprus
