Received my QC pics and i am highly impressed. The date lupe distortion seems better than expected. Sadly, we are not allowed to post qc pics here. Will keep you updated!

Sorry for my noob question...but wouldn't the patina on the hands be a dead give away that it's a rep since the gen hands are almost white?
The 243J is the last Panerai release made with Tritium dial & hands... Tritium develops the beautiful patina over time that we see on vintage watches.

The reason the hands and numbers get a different patina on the 243J is because of different coatings. Tritium itself is virtually colorless and does not patina.
What patinas is the clear coating (depending on the amount of exposure to various light sources and the tritium interacting) that is used to seal the tritium lume. So a different coating was used on the hands and numerals vs the dots/indices.
Your mag looks way better than mine. That being my only complaint, I have to say that the milling and fitment on mine are so gen like that it's scary.

What we're discussing here is the 243 J series with tritium dial and yellow/orange patina indices and numbers.
It's essentially a different watch

Ok, but...on an equal footing, 243M is closed to GEN than 243J. It's different, ok. But overall, 243M "HF" is better REP than 243J "HF".
I think 243M "HF" is still best 243 REP ever build.
