I ordered mine from Toro a couple days ago. This morning he sends me pics for 243M from H Factory. I rejected them and requested proper model. As soon as we get it sorted out and I have it in hand, I'll post some pics and share my impressions.

I rejected this one based on unevenly seated crystal. More delays. Sigh.

Im sure the crystal wasn't pressed correctly all the way down. Easy fix to do it yourself wit ha watch press kit. I did the same with my Pam000. But I understand the hesitation. Looking forward to the next set of pics you are sent.

Yeah, I've been spending as much with my watch smith as I have with my dealers. This time they can just send me a trouble free watch. ;)

I wish they would produce trouble free products to happy customers and they would increase their sales exponentially. Dealt with Toro a few times and have been lucky so far. Good luck with the incoming watch and will be following your progress as I am going to pull the trigger on the same model.

Realistically, there's no reason to expect perfection for the small fraction we pay. Let's say our cost is $300 and the gen is $6k... that's 5%, just be happy with what they give you.

The crystal issue could have been the angle and glare or the bezel on that side not being fully seated. But either way, regardless of what the TD says, its always advisable to get the watch tested before swimming. So any possible crystal issue isn't really an issue.

Yeah, I hear ya, but after 9 years of dumping money into this hobby, I'm not going to begrudge myself requesting another specimen, pre-shipment to correct an obvious flaw that I'd otherwise have to pay extra to have a watchsmith fix. Afterall, that's the point of QC pics. :) I just wanted validation that my eyes weren't playing tricks on me. Here's to hoping I get a good one this time!

True and good luck. Post some pics after you've accepted it. And you've been around for many years before me... so you are well aware of the times when QC didn't exist. You paid for a watch and one just showed up.

I've just seen the occasion when members take advantage of the QC and nitpick because they expect perfection.

I'm usually pretty reasonable. If I see something I can fix, I'll accept it, but I lack the equipment and know how for this one. That being said, now I'm regretting not accepting it because my watchsmith said he can re-press it for $45.00. I'd have rather accepted, have the watch in hand, and just paid the damn labor. :)

Holy Lord!!! Previously I was NOT a fan of H Factory goods. This thing is Maximum Titsx10!!! Tight Tight bezel. Sharp lines. Excellent fit and finish. It walks the walk and talks the talk. I have wanted a 243 for more than 5 years, and I finally have it. It is SOOOOOO TITS MCGEEEEE!!!!! This is the best watch I have EVER owned. WOOOOO HOOOO!!!!!!

I wish I could say. The last HF watch I got was the PAM 237 Ghost and I thought it was shit. I have the Noob AP Diver v 7 and the noob DSSD Deep Blue, and this HF panerai is every bit as good from a fit and finish perspective. Unvortunately I never managed to get my hands on a Noob 243. Anyone else?

Noob factory never made a tritium dial J series PAM 243 afaik, so if you're after those great looking aged indices you have no choice but the H factory version.

Teanacious, your watch looks really good, congrats! What about shooting a couple of good pics of the dial and bezel so we can admire that T-dial? :whistling:

Yes a good dial shoot under the natural light would be fantastic. Watch looks great.
