I would love to save money for a beautiful watch with a reliable movement. However,I do have my doubts about a 3.3 mm Chinese movement. How reliable will it be? And in case of damage; will spare parts be easily available? It could definitely be a deal breaker for me.

Let me put it this way, for me reliability is more important than looks. And the current Vf6 Aquanaut is already damn stunning...

Guys, while we are all waiting for the new 3.3 movement, I thought I'd share a little lume study I did today on lume brightness, comparing 3 gen (PP & AP) dials and a custom lumed diver. One of the gen dials is my new Aquanaut find. It's too complicated for me to post photos from the phone, so I'm just including a teaser photo and a link to the sister AP sub-forum. Do let me know what you think. My conclusion was indecisive - none of the dials had noticeably better lume than the rest, with the gen diver winning by a mile the last place with its weak and non-durable lume.
