Just a couple of Pics from my QC for comparison from Andrew:
ROLGMT185 - GMT II 12610BLNR Jub 904 SS/SS Noob Asia 3285 CHS

That is a Noob 2824 CHS timebomb bro, you won't get any better inserts from them. This thread is for GMF true clones, but thanks for reminding us what not to buy. See if Andrew will let you switch to this:

[URL="https://trustytime.shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_5&products_id=20992"]https://trustytime.shop/index.php?ma...ducts_id=20992

With the $210 you save you could almost buy another rep! Look at the Noob specials.

Edit: Didn't mean to sound harsh bro. You have time to fix this, Andrew has let me change orders before. That Noob is an overpriced lemon, don't want to see you get stuck with it.

I'll add in my QC pictures for reference as well, this is the GMF v3 sourced from Sead:

Mine suffers from the lowering transition point, I assume it is kind of just luck of the draw on these inserts.

It looks like they do have different versions of inserts on the V3s though.

At first, I was looking at my 1st QCs and 2nd QCs and thinking they were like the same base insert with variations on transition. But they do look different in thickness and angle of the inlay.

And then I compared to the other good reference we had with is the insert on @goddess watch. While the one in those pics are close and good, they do seem to vary in thickness of the inlay. But maybe it's just the angle and lighting.

Noob fixed their transition point? They’re not running the color halfway up the 8 anymore or was that just on the BLNO?

Thanks Man! Good looking out, I really appreciate the keen eye. Much better than mine, I emailed him and we will see what we get! This is why I love this place.

Noob (REAL) V10 is the best insert you can find.

But unfortunately Noob only produced the first correct stock, then he entrusted the production of the shit inserts to the usual supplier who uses a completely wrong blue and a horrible paint.

That was just the BLRO. The BLNR transitions point has always been OK, but the blue color and speed bumps suck. Except for Marco1937

Do you guys think it is worth rejecting an insert if the transition point is too low? Or am I going to end up going back and forth for a long time to try and get one that is a millimeter higher?

You have blue going into the 8 so it really isn't off enough to reject IMO. The speed bumps are pretty visible but very few samples of any model from any factory get that right. Your chances of the next one being better are not great.

As KJ2020 said, I don’t think you’re going to get better. Or I should say, the chances of getting worse are just as much. If it bothers you that much, find an Aftermarket insert you can live with or just go with the LN and eliminate the problem all together.

Thats what hat I planned to do. Find an aftermarket insert. And speed bumps are one thing, but the transition point, on wrist, it’s not that noticible imo.

One of us, if we saw one in the wild might look there first but a non-watch idiot savant couldn’t spot it if they tried.

I told the story of seeing a pepsi a few weeks ago and on someone else’s wrist, just couldn’t get see it close enough because of distance and movement. And we were close and sitting talking.

I agree. I already have an older LN from noob with a gen crystal, insert and dial or I would pick that up! This will round out my collection of 3 GMTs (LN, pepsi and batman).

For jubilee, they need to release 3285 clone bro

I will be surprised if that happens. Like most other factories, they will just change dial (put coronet near 6'oclock), change bracelet to jubilee and call it a day.

It's amazing what a fraction of an inch will do. On the top (newer) pics, the transition point is slightly higher. It's very slight (in distance) but it's quite noticible.

Also, what you can't see in these pics is the speedbump. And maybe that's a testamanet to how small of a detail it is. I'm not sure as I haven't had a watch with one yet. But in the pics I recieced via email the speed bump was quite noticible in the bottom (older) set.

Where as in the newer set (top) set, the transition point was so much slighter. At least it seemed so in the full resolution pics emailed from Li.

Phan-phooking-tastic! I need one!! Go away COVID19!!
That transition point is a very minor irritation. The one on top is great. I have the ICHS and believe me you don't see it on the watch. With the rest of the insert, colour, engraving, being as good as it is. And nobody's eyes can do a macro shot with your watch on the wrist unless they're Lee Majors
