GMF Explorer II 226570 with VR3285 Made with Gen as Reference

Hi guys,
I've read couple of time that thread but I'm still a bit confused about GMF vs JVS.

According to trusty, at least Today, both of them have VR3285 movement.

Because of that, I did not understand how the JVS might have a wrong date's position.

Looking at TD's pics, what looks like a difference is the crown's height: GMF has a tricker crown if compared to JVS, making the latter more close to gen.

Any toughts?

The date is sitting too far towards the center. Thats an instant no for me

Different date wheel I think

Look at these photos and you'll see the difference - the JVS date window (showing "7") - the cyclops, window and date - are closer to the center of the dial than the GMF (showing "6") and Gen. Gen photo also enclosed for reference.

So are they using completely different date wheels or they just slightly aligned differently?

The date window, date wheel, cyclops and dial are different, as shown. Look at the outside edge of the date window and cyclops relative to the minute markers. It's very clear (to me),
