now that you mention it... entire watch size does look bigger in the comparison photo

GMF Explorer II 226570 with VR3285 Made with Gen as Reference

I asked Mike AKA Misekpied he said this movement is reliable and can be serviced with gen parts !
Just received it. What i can say is its the first gmt movement i have that mimics the genuine in its snapiness using the hour jumping.
I’ve had a somewhat different experience with the sh/vr3285. That said, it’s not a bad movement. I think the DD3285 is better. But the DD3285 is not (currently) available with a date plate sized for the Exp2.

Just placed my order for one. Polar White.
Nearly bought a noob version a few years back but backed out based on time bomb movement.

Excellent piece.
Bracelet is really incredible. I didn't expect it from GMF. It seems ARF. Sels are just perfect. I'd say gen like with zero play.
Movement runs perfect and rotor is completely silent.
Cyclop on white dial is fine and dateweel is perfectly centered.
Lume is a torch and orang printing are ok condidering that it's a rep.
Crown is different than gen as seen in some pics backward but imo it's a flaw that i can live with as in real life it's hardly noticeable.
Great piece to take and use as it is.

Absolutely not.
In my opinion (not because i have it) it's a non sense to do that mod.
I'm for modding watches when it's really necessary but here it can be kept stock.
I'm enjoying this piece as it is.
It's growing in me day by day.
Care to elaborate? Source? I did hear months ago of the intention of clean of issuing one with the new DD movement in late Summer. Would like to understand if there's more info now
I’ll wait for a TD to confirm here before I jump to conclusions
