Anyone able to comment on the lume? Haven't really been able to pull the trigger on this due to reports of uneven lume and different colored lume application.

Do you have a shot of the lume in the dark? A lot of people have reported uneven lume and different lume colors etc.

And which TD did you get this from?

This is the Lume on my V5.

Hmm that's what I mean about the lume, the hands and some of the hour markers are different colours. I've this is pretty much the case with many (if not all) of the current v5 batch.

You see the lume like 1% of the time, 2% maybe, It's the least of my worries. The overall quality is great and you either A: have to be in a dark room with a Gen or B: In a dark room with someone who REALLY, really knows.

At least with mine the Pear, 12, 3, 6 and 9 Markers math and the rest is the same. Looks like it should be that way and 99.9% of people wouldn't know any different!

I completely get what you are saying and I agree that in the wild no one will really see the lume. 99.9% will not be able to tell this is a fake whether the lume is correct or not. And the 0.1% will be able to tell even if the lume is correct.

But its how you as the wearer will perceive the watch and whether or not it will make you happy to wear it. I just feel its such a shame that a well made replica has such a flaw. Getting the lume right with a nice consistent colour is not difficult to do, I know why the factories/makers aren't doing it - its because they source from multiple makers and mix/match their pieces from different batches and thats a shame. But maybe I'm just too picky.

I agree with you, the lume wasn't a deal breaker for me, which is why I accepted it. Especially how so many Reps or Super Reps even have shit lume!

Yes, can easily get it re-lumed for a cheap price to attain perfection in the eyes of the wearer :xj4:

I'm curious about the black version as well! With all the focus on the red bezel version, it's tough to find a review/comparison of the black. How accurate is it compared to the gen? I know the blue bezel version is off, but I'm curious how the black bezel stacks up.

Could you post any more pictures of your black v5?

Thanks!!

The main thing that I see on the black version is the red triangle is way off. It's much darker than the gen. See the pic archyfate posted above, you can hardly see it. Otherwise, eveything else is spot on other than the typical tells (CP and crown rose and dial rose).

Thanks! I was noticing that in the picture, hmm.. I'm curious how noticeable it is in person. From what I read, the blue bezel is too matte of a finish, I wonder what is the best of the worst lol. So for accuracy the red version is the most spot on?

I was looking on some of the TD sites and noticed one selling the v4 with a genuine Tudor movement. Not sure of its worth shelling out the $650!

I wouldnt worry too much about the lume.

The main negatives with this watch imo are;

Crappy pearl, lost mine after wearing it twice and the Bezel has a bit of play.

Also if bought this with the leather deployment, the clasp on it is crap too..

I'm about to pull the trigger on a Tudor Black Bay Heritage but want to know how accurate the black on the dial is compared to gen. I've only seen the gen irl and the black looks a bit grainy, and not just a flat black color. Do the v4 or v5 have the same "effect"?

Also, do they differ between the one with black bezel and red?

Thanks! :) Great pics btw!

the black on the dial is very close, it is actually a very dark brown, and does have same texture on the v4, main difference was the rep doesnt have the same 3d type effect, the new shield version looks better, but looking at dealers pics it seems to have same problem as the old v1-2 which was different coloured lume on hands than the indices, you can see it in this image. I had my v2 relumed at cost of £100. its one of those problems that one seen will always bug you, or maybe not
