If you're comparing to Rolex 5-digit references than I have no argument there...back then Rolex case work, while not bad, is not their strongest virtue.
But if you're comparing to the current 6-digit references and feel that they are comparable, then good for you...you just saved yourself a hell lot of dough. [emoji6]
I've tried a couple of Steinharts myself...while they are value for money for sure, they are really nothing to write home about.
a watch is meant to be worn
The review I read was compared to his 16610 so the 5 digit sub. My dad has had Tudor since he's was 21 and since then has several different high end models, Rolex, omegas etc. He has always said for the price of what Rolex models cost the older models have never had great finishes on them particularly the back of the watch.
Anyway back to the Ginault since I saw your post I have researched it thorough and have been drawn to it for some reason. I emailed them directly about the review price saying I would do one in which I cheekily knew had finished. He replied it had finished but was willing to give me a one time only 50% discount! Yes I did snatch his hand off after reading all the great reviews even though I wouldn't pay the RRP if the watch. I happy at that price but I'm wondering if their sales are not doing too well at $1399 for the date model that I've chosen?
