OMG This thread has been right up under my nose and didnt know it!!!!
This is epic!!!! Wow!!! And i just started to build roos again,,,,,This is awesome news to a lot of members here including myself!!!
Cant wait to see the final products,,,,,I see a few of my pay checks going on these!!! Wow! Just wow!!! I think intrest will increase as this thread go's on!!! I see myself buying a homage and cases for a franken's,,, Being able to buy a Gen spec Roo case is a dream to a lot of use!!!

Well, second sample for glass and gaskets came. Success for glass! gaskets still need some work. This is the glass sample, colourless anti-reflective coating both sides. It's amazing. This is fitted with Nylon I-rings and a silicon washer just like Gen. Do note that the bezel is based on the rubber clad which is a little taller. With the steel version the glass will protrude out even further.
So, to recap, the gaskets need some work. The edge needs to be a little rounder. The internal dimensions are correct. The caseback gasket needs to be thinned down by 0.1mm. So we are starting to split hairs here. Glass/ I-ring/ Silicone washer are correct.
We will only start to make the main case sample at the end of January as we are really strapped for time this month rushing other cases out. Enjoy. and Merry Christmas in advance.

Another thing that will not fit on the xmas list! With this case set we'll enter new era of frankens, perfect ones! Can't wait.
Just an update. The following is being modified:
1) Bezel gasket mold is being polished so the finish is smooth out of the mold.
2) The edge is being rounded slightly, previous sample profile was a little too straight
3) The internal holes are being reduced to 1.5mm. Although 1.7mm is the size of the screw that goes through, for some reason the gen gasket hole is 1.5mm.... there is no reason for this but since we are at it....
4) Caseback gasket mold is being polished so the finish is smooth out of the mold
5) The raised profiles are being reduced by 0.1mm. From 0.9 to 0.8 and from 0.8 to 0.7mm. This is to allow the caseback to compress a little better when fitted.
There will likely not be a V2 here, so we are trying to get as close as possible....
