More parts for you to see. Here's the strap link, gen on right, our part before finishing on the left. Strap insert also completed....

So, what is this mess I see on my table??

Here is it fitted to our sample bezel, and a GEN case. It's a perfect fit!!! :

And what about the back??

Also a perfect fit!!

Note that the flashing is quite obvious on the samples as they were molded with a temporary mold. Production molded parts will be much better as we can deal with the flashing better.

So, now we have the rubber parts coming out in a few weeks, we modified the bezel height as it was not correct for the steel versions. We have also modified the movement rings to fit the LWO instead of the gen movement, crystal came and was a little large, so we modified that but should be ready in a week or so. The silicone gasket and friction rings should be done at the same time. Hands are stuck at the moment as we can't find completely gen shaped hands, so we are contemplating opening a mold for those.

We ran into a problem with the movements as the rep factories have booked up all the movements and have now become exclusive to them...... didn't know they were THAT big..... So we have stopped the homages for the time being and are concentrating on the gen casesets first until we can resolve the movement supply issue.

One suggestion was to use a A7750 movement with sec at 9 which is more reliable and thinner, but we don't know how these would be received by you guys since it's a homage and not a rep, comments?

LWO over A7750 all day long.

The question is not LWO vs A7750. The question is whether homage with A7750 with sec at 9 is an acceptable compromise because:

1) More reliable
2) Can be swapped for a Val7750
3) Easy to find parts
4) Thinner.

I think i wont be keen if the movement is sec @ 9 unless a LWO is an exact fit like the A7750 movement. if not i wont get the $1K case for my LWO . :(

Personally, i'm fine with a homage with a7750 sec@9, and also fine with it being a handwind.

Please don't use any of 7750.

Than this awesome project won't be different with current rep offshore.

This project is so grand because we try to do a gen spec.

Ok..... let me try this again....

1) We will be producing a gen spec caseset that will fit get movement and parts
2) We will also produce a movement ring that will allow the use of LWO movement in the gen parts
3) We are thinking of producing an additional caseback/ crown/ pusher to fit an A7750 movement so we can make homages with the caseset.

Do not worry that there will not be any caseset for your franken projects. This question is for those who would buy a homage instead of the casesets for franken.

Do you care that the homage will have a completely different dial layout (sec at 9 instead of at 12) and a totally different dial design. Or will you only buy a homage if it has a AP dial design and sec at 12. Hope this is clear enough.....
