I contacted him and asked him what he would want for the watch. He wanted a Rolex GMTII Swiss movt. I told him I can get him the watch and if the deal is on.
22nd and 23rd August we had email contacts with him telling me what watch he wants and its clear we had this deal going.
But on 24th Aug he got back to me saying a forum member in Sweden where he is from has the watch he wants and he is going on that trade. WTF?? I replied I thought our deal was on. No reply.
27th August he emailed me asking if I still want the 239. Of course I still want it.
He said the trade deal he had with the other fellow Swede fellow is POS. Said the fella sent him a crap and he is pissed off and wanted to reverse the deal.
We then agreed on the trade that I’ll send him a Rolex GMTII with swiss movt while he sends me his Pam239. I told him to give me a couple of days to get the watch.
He sent me links from Trusty and Josh site to show me the exact watch he wanted and asked me to buy from them. As I have my own sources, I told him I’ll try them out before I approach Trusty or Josh.
Anyway I took several days before I could confirm I have a GMTII to ship to him.
I checked with VK and he says its ok if my source ship to him directly from China. He said its fine not a problem. He also mentioned in another similar day email that the trade is confirmed and the 239 would be mine and he is not talking to others for a possible trade.
We have many emails in 1 day as I reply fast from my mobile and in the email on 29th Aug he told me he will send me a GEN caseback for the 239. His Danish friend chanced upon one. LOL!! Well the Pam239 has only 75 pieces worldwide, what are the chances of having a GEN one??? He said a guy banged up his 239 real bad and Panerai is going to re-issue him and send him a new caseback.
Now, that’s weird cos I know THEY don’t do that!!
But I gave him the benefit of the doubt and just hope the caseback thing would turn out true.
Anyway he said his Danish friend will restore the banged up 239 caseback and he will give it to me.
On 1st Sept VK told me his wife’s relative has passed away in a car crash. Deal had to be delayed for a week cos he has to fly back to Croatia. I was bummed. Then he suggests that he would get his friend to ship the 239 to me on his behalf.
On 2nd Sept 309am he emailed me saying he is leaving for Croatia at 700am.
On 2nd Sept, 9:00 PM he emailed me his friend has shipped the Pam239.

You se, here in Sweden we have a service called "spip" (Stopping parcel In Proces). This thing costs extra around 104$ but it's worth it. I used this service when i ship watches and other stuff around the world to guys that I don't know that well.
So I also used this service today with the pam239. So when the parcel gets to Singapore today and when the custom scans it they will get a message telling them to reship it to the sender (me). You maybe thinking way? Like you know, we haven't know each other much we just meet. If you just hade come up with the tracking and pics like I asked you to everything would have been OK in my book. You say in you mail that he would send you tracking next time, to me that's no service felling at all. Tracking would have come on thusday when he emailed you telling that he has shipped!!!
So even if he has shipped (like I think he hasent) there is nothing I could do now. The pam239 will be automaticly reshiped to me. I cant lift this. Ones you used it on the parcel it gets reshiped to the sender.

Well fast forward some weeks and the GMTII didn’t reach him. Yes it didn’t reach him nor did I received my 4 other watches from China.
I apologised to VK EVERYDAY for not being able to get the tracking as well as the watch not showing up.
I still want the 239 then and I feel I should do something to make up for what had happened. My dealing with him had been honest right from the start and for my source to screw me over is not the best way to start a friendship with VK I thought.
So I told him I will contact either Josh or Trusty and get 1 watch from them. And that he can verify with them directly for the progress of the watch order.
He then sent me an email:

Truth is, I paid for a GMTII for him Never showed up, not his fault. So I made it up by ordering another watch to go through the deal.

So I’m now out a lot of $$$ and the 239 is 'missing'.
He did offer to send me the money for the Sub I sent him. I didn’t want cos I want the 239.
Pls don’t think I’m making things difficult by not wanting the refund cos I wanted the watch in trade. If he indeed ship out the watch, then I don’t want the money.
He is simply getting off easy by saying he will send me money. Cos the truth is he never shipped the watch.
Giving a tracking number that cannot be tracking is as good as nothing, thats exactly what he thinks too when i cant give him the tracking for the 1st GMTII i sent him thru my source.
Oh and one more thing, throughout this period of time i had been in contact with another member regarding this 239 matter. he was interested in getting it too and VK had offered him at a price bundled with other 'goodies' for a very high price. Yes all the while when our deal was going on.
By the way this is the tracking for the Sub i paid to Trusty to send it to VK. In case anyone ask, VK wanted the package to be shipped directly to him. Not that i want to dropship to him.

2nd Oct Thurs he said he is going to France till Sun and will not be around to receive emails. So coincidental that if the watch don’t show up as he promised I cant contact him?
I didn’t receive the watch but someone pointed out to me about his threads on his 239 and base for trade.

I posted on purpose on the thread as a good buddy had pointed out to me that he was browsing the threads. I posted there for him to respond to my emails.
He saw my posts but did not respond nor respond to my emails.
Subsequently he got pissed off that I bombed him with emails demanding to know what is the situation of the 239.

Now I know VK used to be on RWG but made his permanent home in Geeks now. Verbal, if you’re reading this, get this very clear:

That’s the last time he emailed me.
Truth is, I paid for a GMTII for him Never showed up, not his fault. So I made it up by ordering another watch to go through the deal.

So I’m now out a lot of $$$ and the 239 is 'missing'.
He did offer to send me the money for the Sub I sent him. I didn’t want cos I want the 239.
Pls don’t think I’m making things difficult by not wanting the refund cos I wanted the watch in trade. If he indeed ship out the watch, then I don’t want the money.
He is simply getting off easy by saying he will send me money. Cos the truth is he never shipped the watch.
Giving a tracking number that cannot be tracking is as good as nothing, thats exactly what he thinks too when i cant give him the tracking for the 1st GMTII i sent him thru my source.
Oh and one more thing, throughout this period of time i had been in contact with another member regarding this 239 matter. he was interested in getting it too and VK had offered him at a price bundled with other 'goodies' for a very high price. Yes all the while when our deal was going on.
By the way this is the tracking for the Sub i paid to Trusty to send it to VK. In case anyone ask, VK wanted the package to be shipped directly to him. Not that i want to dropship to him.
He has received the package on the 29 Sept.
