Zorro and Imak, how do you remove the inner metallic case (the part with the crystal and inner bezel) from the outer, black metallic case?

I refer to that unpainted ss part as the chapter ring. You need a press to remove it from the case, as it's merely pressed-in. You will not need a press to install it in the carbon case though.

Yes, you have to press the chapter ring out of the case. I place a cylindrical object in through the back of the case which seats against the overhanging rim of the chapter ring, then I apply a downward pressure on the case and push it downward. Chapter ring comes out no sweat.

here astro .... here's what i done made a make shift support to hold the case with 1.3/4inch plastic pip cut down to size .. and press down with 32mm die ... job done!!

Thank you very much for the picture above! It really makes it clear what has to be done, but I still have one question: tubes (crown, chrono pushers) must necessarily be removed first?

And I have just received the golden PM from Imaknockov!!!

Your very welcome ... just remove the pushers first and crown as Gio explained in hes thread , the pusher tubes and crown and be pressed out after you remove the chapter ring ... what did the golden pm say ?

Maybe not the right thread, but have you guys noticed how the metallic rings surrounding the subdials are inclined towards the center of the dial? The outer portion of the rings, close to 6, 9, and 12 on the dial, sit higher than the portion close to the center of the dial, so that the rings lean towards the center of the dial. I include several pictures below that show the issue I hope is corrected by ryan and his dial project.

More Delays

Nothing is ever so straight forward as it should be .. parts arrived in uk customs 15th now the want customs charges which is fine... but wont let me pay then until it reaches the post office .. so more delays I'm afraid ..so frustrating !!
