It's impressive to see how far reps are pushing it, especially with the movements, and I'm sure this is gonna be amazing for people looking for it but... 7k for a full build and 4k for a full movement that is unproven, untested, could potentially be a time bomb with no easy repair option is ridiculous.... it's like burning money, these high value rep builds are also basically really hard to unload as well

Hear hear, I think these are awesome and it's super cool to see what's being developed but the prices that are quoted here are always completely absurd, then the real thing comes out and it's half the quoted prices but still unproven. Especially with RM reps, I think there are people out there (suppliers and randos) just making up giant numbers because it fuels the hype. $7k for a non-franken rep is insane, and even at $4k I'd get more enjoyment out of four or five tourbillons than one unfixable watch, no matter how good it looks. When the first BBR dropped people were saying the same shit, and then it was $500 for the full watch when it actually came out and has a slew of issues

They're trying to cash in on that RM craze since they couldn't get 20kUSD for the BBR clone a couple years ago. All this pricing reminds me of scammy WeChat modders. When it's available for 2K in a watch, I'll start selling some pieces but till then what we have now is getting me by.

I don‘t understand why you don’t just state the retail price of this movement if you got access to its source.

Thats how a healthy competitive market should regulate itself. Not through backdoor information.

I’m just saying its crazy .haha. There are no retail price for this stuff bro. Every supplier get it at different price from the factory. it all just depends how the business relationship. to be honest, I wouldnt know the actual lowest price either.

For the prices quoted you’d expect the bridging to be correct, that part covering the bulk of the escapement wheel is disappointing. It’s one of the features of the gen being able to see the escapement and balance.

Even though the escapement wheel is too low on the BBR/Sonic movements at least you can see it functioning.

Will be interesting to see how reliable this is and if the dual barrels are both functional.

I think this is why most of builds are for the RM 61, this part is partially covered.

In the video shown earlier both barrels move and seem to wind as you use the crown in winding position.
