Thanks for the link, I watched it and some of the 061 videos as well. The movement does look very good, while the escapement wheel is obscured it's nice to be able to see the pallet fork working away.

For some reason I believe these will eventually be available from TDs at a reasonable price point, maybe around 1-1.5K like a tourbillon Rep

I would actually say the opposite.
1) RM does not even sell near the volume of any other rep. They operate on low volume high price. Already this lowers the chance of mass production.
2) Custom movements like this are monopolized by custom modders and boutique "factories". They're always expensive. No matter what.
These two factors are why I think it actually won't ever be like a mass produced rep that's cheap.
I have ordered a 61-01 Asia edition (the white ceramic), I’ve been told about 20 days so will post pics once I have them, most difficult thing is to secure a movement as far as I know.

As i know , that might not happen. The TD or dealers are selling them at an even higher price inside china rep community then on rwi. And they are having a very high demand.

This isn’t a simple BBR style miyota movement, it’s fully custom. I don’t think we will see this “cheap” anytime soon.
Looking forward to it and hope your piece comes out great! Hoping for this to be good and be my entry point into RMs!
I’ve been quoted £3950 for:
- BBR Case (black)
- Super movement
- Proper correct titanium screws
- Shipping to UK via FedEx 2-3 days
3-5 weeks from today.
Not ordering until we have more on reliability of the movement.

Movement is supposed to be quite reliable as well, I believe this is the movement that initially originated this thread. They sold it for around £30k+, and accordingly with the highly financially able people having enjoyed this already, now it’s time to open it to the “rest” of the market.

Oh man.... that's actually a price I would contemplate.... would love to see it come just a hair cheaper. Maybe as the project continues to grow and expand. Thanks for the great update.
If someone quote 30k for the movement, I believe it was the voucher modified movement, its not the same as this clone one we are talking about.

That, I can respect the luxury price point. That's damn near basically a real RM movement lol. I didn't know they were doing things like that.

A modded Vaucher for $30k is larceny, please tell me no one is dumb enough to be ripped off that hard.
Considering the regular movement being like a couple grand, it is. But when you can't get it anywhere else people are gonna do what they do. I think like under 10k isn't as bad but idk honestly it depends on a lot, a lot more than I probably know.
