Do we think its a longevity issue with the movement then. I was just about to order the VSF one....i have a link I have to pay or decline.
Ahhh...GREEN is a 2824....gonna pass on the movement. i guess its on to v2. my concern was about the movement...good piece in there.
but if its not centered right....i don't want issue later or in the near future.

Not pushing one or the other, but the Green factory with 2824 looks like a good contender. The stem height is similar to gen, and the time setting and quickset date change directions are the same as gen. Plus you can swap in a gen movement if you want.

Yes it is. That statement was not made to diminish the VSF but to affirm the Green Factory is on equal footing in that regard.

thanks friend, I'll make the following changes: glass change, date window and VSF insert .. theoretically everything should be compatible! the thing I like is the 2824 with quick release

Very nice! Newer 2824 date changes have gotten really good. With those changes this piece will rock.
