Very nice, I have that model from Eddie. It's a terrific watch. Though I'm finding the Fiddy to be a bit large on my wrist, and am thinking about one of the 111's. Or one of the perfect rolexes.

If you can source the mov't by itself - go for it !

However, I believe the only way you can get that 'new' E series mov't is to buy the latest Fiddy from EL. :(

I would just stick with DSN mov't you have . I wouldn't bother changing it to this new one for now even if you could get just the mov't alone. It does have very nice engraving but with the wrong reg ring and arm it looks like a very obvious rep. So really it's a matter of picking your inaccuracies.

If you just like the look of better bridge engraving, go for it. If you are only doing it to make it more passable for gen, it's not...just different from other reps.

can not agree with that
if you compare a pic of your mvt, a pic of my mvt and a pic of the gen mvt you will see that the last two are almost identical while yours is far off

I didn't see a pic of SexyBeast's mov't posted, but I guess it DSN's latest swiss 127 with no SN? Not close to gen but dependable. If your #1 priority is after the closest to gen looking mov't then maybe you should swap it out. It's your time, effort and $$$.

As far as Michalis6's 127, very nice watch with a ton of effort put into it. I like the fact he did his own strap to get the exact look and feel he wanted. A+ for doing your own strap.

The new mov't being "Indentical" No. Some are better than others but none of these mov't are identical.

Now if you could source the parts and have the wider arm and split ring matched with your mov't, that would be amazing and hard to beat. Not sure if that would be possible.

EL's latest

thanks for all the responses guys, the reason i ask is i just wanted the look to be pretty acurate, bridges engraving , dial, crown. the reason i want this is because it makes me feel good  and to be honest i have never had so many people notice a watch i was wearing untill i bought davidsens 5iddy. every time i go into a shop even non watch shops i gets comments of "wow beatiful watch, can i see it?" i say sure and then i tell those who are really interested where i got it and that it's a replica andthey are like wow i want one.thanks everybody for turning me into a pamhead and letting me be part of the dark side. now if i hadn't dropped my digi camera into the salt water i would have taken some cool photo's for ya

Congrats

-

A fine effort and as enzo says, it's nice to have passion and commitment to approach your ultimate vers. through various mods.

It's causing me to go back and see where I can get the new engraved ETA 6497 for mine  Nah, I think I'm done now, have to be happy at some point :) ; mine's the 117 case, Swiss swan (non-working screw) engraved + DSN AR and pin fix + C3 + OEM strap (not in pics below), that will do me :)

I'm not sure this has AR coating though. Specs don't say it does.

Yup, it does. I have seen one first hand. Lume is poor, indices have yellow-ish color, just like 111H rep for example.

That said, with the pin fix, dial relume and minute hand tube adjustment...this one is the winner with that updated E-series Swiss mov't.

cheers,

Cool.

I have one of these on the way from EL. I was assuming I needed to swap the crystal with a Davidsen crystal. Guess not. :)

Thanks.

From what my eyes can see, there is no AR that comes with EL's best.

As I said above already - I handled one, so I can attest - it's as good AR as it gets with PAM reps.

The only 2 things that need extra TLC are dial lume and recessed cannon pin.

cheers,
babola

Good to know that u handled one. I know u did. I own one so I must be terribly blind not to see the AR. Either that, mine does not come with one. My fiddy is with Rob for that "extra TLC".

I just read the whole thread, and unfortunately some of the pictures aren't showing any more.

I am confused as of why only EL's movement is correct.

This is what Josh's sells:

Is it the problematic movement? Or the good one with poor engraving?

That movement can be problematic according to Ziggy due to incorrect hairspring near swan neck. Also, screws on the 2 wheels should be SS and not blue.

EL's movement is slightly different.
