I see, well, I may just pull the trigger on this as I absolutely fell in love with this piece back then, Just the dust speckle & the strap were my main concerns! I had heard from some people that the crown also has some issues with the movement which I doubt but the movement is reliable enough right Mate? How long is the power reserve? I'm more of a Panerai Guy so not really familiar what they have done with this piece.

I habe no clue about how long The powerreserve should be, i love this watch that much that i wear it every day since i received it. But it works flawless with excellent time keeping. I only oiled the rotor for noise reduction.

Paid in full from Toro, already some time back. It´s one of the most carefully assembled reps imho, so not the tiniest flaw I can point at, it´s just fine. Strapwise it´s on the Brday sailcloath 24mm and it´s a fine fit.

For those wondering if it´s too small:) a side by side with the 42mm Seiko homage

Gorgeous watch, congrats. I'm on the opposite side, I think it may wear too big...Any possibility of a side by side pic with a JLC Navy Seal?

Technically, the lug width on the BPFF is 23mm. Have you guys had luck with fitting 24mm straps to the watch? I need an XL strap to fit my 8.3" wrist and I doubt the rep sail cloth will work for me. Guidance would be appreciated. I can't even consider this watch unless I know I can get a strap that will work for me.

HI, I have fitted in several different 24mm straps from PAMs and the 24mm Brady Sailcloath it is on (but You would need an xl sailcloath) which is quite perfect.
If the 24mm are very thick 4-5mm and rigid leather they will NOT fit.

Brady sailcloath 24mm (which is not a very soft strap but it´s not too thick and gives a good fit)

This is a 22mm but a bit of the lug will be seen

and this XL one on the right, fitted on the PAM, was custom made for the BP and did NOT fit (too hard/ too thick) impossible to fit

For size estimate, could someone post this watch next to a PAM 40mm if possible? I'm still trying to decide if it would look ok on my girly 6.4 wrist. The PAM Luminor 40mm looks just right. I tried on a a 42mm, 13mm thick IWC and that looked fine also. I'm just afraid that 45mm is pushing it.

The Fifty Fathoms is a HUGE watch! I don't think you will like it (based on what you described), honestly ;)
It's incredibly thick as well. Try one on at an AD near you.

I have a 6.75 wrist. The lugs do not extend past my wrist which I use a guide as to it being too large or not.

I quite like the size and heft of this watch, it's the biggest I have which sets it apart from my other divers.

Damn! There's no Blancpain ADs where I live. Thanks for the heads up anyway.

Love the first batch of the noob BPFF where the font on the bezel aren't deformed as the later production batches. Apparently, the first batch of crystals come with a blue AR coating as compared to the purple AR on later batches too.

Hi all

After spending many hours reading threads about this beauty...finally decided to order one.

TD told me this come only in long strap now onwards.

But I need a short (xs) one, might do a trade ...let's see how things go once receive.

Now the wait begins....

Hi Mate, i had one watch of the very first BPFF batches and now i own one oft the very latest batches. To be honest, the bezel fonts of the latest batches are much more perfect than the first one a. Not deformed at all. And the AR is much more accurate with nearly colourless coating and only a light blue hue at different angles. Only thing noticeable worse is the lume intensity. In the first batches it glows much brighter and noticeably longer. Imho

Hi

Can anyone tell me which TD can provide this watch with a genuine Swiss Sellita movement? Toro Bravo have said that their Swiss movement is an ETA 2836.

Thank you, that is really helpful specially since I haven't been able to see the gens in person. The Ads close by do not have the JLC NSD and only have the BP FF on a steel bracelet, the steel bracelet by the way is amazing.

You're welcome. The FF certainly wears larger than the NSD, but I find it far from overwhelming on my 7.25" wrist. Rather, it's been a very comfortable, well-balanced watch to wear. And the thing is just so darned gorgeous...
