On the miltat Kevlar strap and a comparison to the rep strap.

It looks similar to the sailcloth but is much thicker with white stitching.

The strap is really stiff and will need to be broken in.

Overall I like it.

I followed Daywatch's lead and picked up a sharkskin. It provides nice sport/dress flexibility and the beefy padding is a great complement to the domed bezel...

I lucked out and won a Gen Strap and Deployment on eBay awhile back. The strap/deployment are from the Navy Aqua Lung Fifty Fathoms. Wish it was a black gen strap, but the blue is a nice alternative.

Color is closer to this

I just received this strap for my FF from Gunny.
It's his "Black Padded Series - Super Smooth".
Unfortunately, I lost one of my hex screws and had to order the fat boy spring bars from Amazon.
They hold the strap on but don't seat perfectly so there is a slight wobble. If I can find the hex screws, I'll go back to them instead.
Here's a few pics:

Might as well update here. The sharkskin looked nice but was too hard and unflexible to wear it for more than a couple hours so now it sits on a buttery smooth Buffalo heartbreak from Migliore, the most comfortable strap I have. It´s something like wearing the oldest and most comfortable shoes to the ball:) I don´t even feel the watch on the wrist, for comfort it´s more than perfect, hours or days in a row.

in the background the black Migliore I wanted to use it on (but ordered it in 24mm to fit PAMs as well and it´s too large to fit on the BP)

Also gave in and put an order for the 24mm Brady sailcloath, which just seems to be the appropriate and simple solution. Liked the 23mm racing version also, but just saw it today.

Sorry for the off-topic, but its quite specific....

I'd like to pick-up an extra XS FiftyFathoms strap for my watch, if anybody is willing to part from it, please drop me a PM.

Thanks

gen deploy is not actually for the fifty fathoms. Its for the lemans line.
gen deploy is also around 500$ msrp. I was going to get one for my gen bathyscaphe sometime in the future.

Oh really? So basically, the rep buckle is "correct"? I didn't know that. I was thinking of buying a gen deployment, but seems it's not needed.

I think I need to start hunting for one. This watch is mouthwatering... but I only have a 6" wrist. Damnit!

I vote this a top 3 rep for me. My only complaint is that I have to manually advance the date. Otherwise looks are a 10. I got one of the 2nd waves of watches ordered and the screws seem fine
Why would you have to manually advance the date?

Date Wheel not working. Option was to send back or live with it. I'm living with it. I never wear watches for more than two days so I'm used to resetting
