Please don't take this reply personal Andrew [or Tim]...
But have you been smoking crack?
You're asking the membership to forgive the debt owed by Tim for product paid for but never received?
If I'm reading this wrong then please correct me...

Not a good analogy Andrew.andreww said:I do not take it personally TT. I understand your views on this, but you will have to concede that Tim was not your average rep dealer. He spent a lot of time and effort in building, what was at the time, one of the most popular rep forums ever. Anybody that knows him, knows how much of his heart and soul he put in to this place. At the time I would have put Tim and Thomas on the same podium.TwoTone said:WTF?

What happened with Tim was not a scam. He was arrested and sent to prison. He certainly did not profit from this situation. As for the people that were left without watches? They were willing participants in an illegal activity. If Tim were dealing Cocaine, would you expect him to fulfill any incomplete orders with his clients once released from prison? They were all in on it and knew the risks when it happened, and should not expect any re-numeration now that the scam has fallen apart.
I believe very little of what I read when it comes to dealers going awol. Excuses are normally just that. If you don't believe Tim's story, then that is your right, but I for one can't see any reason not to believe him. Given that, I can not see how any of us would not have the compassion to let this gentleman get on with his life.
And remember, Tim was not being a greedy person way back when. He was simply trying to provide watches to his membership at a fair price.

HK, this was part of what I was talking about to LoS and Tnik during his "Real Talk" thread. I really do wish that this technical glitch was fixed.

i also dont buy the story. Andreww has a fetish to believe and support people that have done wrong but claim not to.
And im here to make things right..I know i owe people $$..And you have my word Im here to honor what i owe In the best way I can..
While I understand the legality Andrew, this has nothing to do with what happened. So I am not sure why you think it validates you misleading point. This community is to protect members from exactly what Tim did. He took the risks, not the members here. I do not believe we are guilty by association as you proclaim. Where is the members motive for profit?andreww said:Whether you believe it or not, you are being an accessory to the crime of importing illegal goods. Just because you are using an agent to do the importing for you, doesn't make you any less guilty.
If you don't believe me, ship all your watches via fedex, you'll get them faster.

IMHO, andreww and TT have added a lot to this hobby and community and therefore, they have the right to express an opinion... how much have you added outside of some looney bin posts?
