Able to get a straight on of the Watch face if it's not too bothersome? Haha thanks. Might end up getting that as my next watch purchase. U think they will release a new version soon?

Hi there, I've received my first rep and I'm happy about it.

I thought I would let the community know about it for those contemplating such an acquisition.

If you have questions let me know, in the meantime, here are some pics as I suspect that's what people are more eagerly looking for in any review.

What I like: in a nutshell, a beautiful watch, close to the gen, IMHO

- Size

- Dial (guillochage is really nice, including for the second@6 - very thin grooves)

- Hand colour is spot on I think: at first you don't notice it's blue - it only reveals itself depending on how light is reflected

- Clasp

- Bolt nut crown

Not as per gen:

- band (as usual apparently according to others' countless reviews of their reps)

- not as slim (but the brushed steel effect acts as a clever optical illusion, and this watch is by no means a thick watch, just not as slim as the gen)

- the date is a bit too much on the left side, look at pic #2 though - it is not a total disgrace as it mainly shows with 10 to 19 dates (tomorrow we're good !)

(- obviously: the movement which is a 21j, not a Cartier Calibre)

All-in, very pleased my first purchase ;) and inexpensive on top of that.

Thanks for the post mate! It's a great watch, tried the gen at an AD and it was amazing. Would be great if there is a comparison between the rep and gen drive. Might be my next watch. May be next year, just got myself the Pam 292 and 441. Haha trying to have some self control. But I'm glad you are enjoying it! Planning on changing the strap?

@asanibal: Miyota : not that I know of for the time being

@Pam-am: I don't have a gen at my disposal but before I received my rep I went to an AD to see one from up close and it seems to me that the rep is pretty close to the gen (at least face up). The thickness is not 1:1 but still not bad (I'll try and post here a photo of a gen from the side, I think I saw this somewhere on the interne, for you to compare with mine). Yes, planning to change the strap one of these days, even if it's decent (the gen band is a matte gator, which kinda helps here).

As I said, first rep and pleasantly surprised with the overall quality feel.

Thanks mate. Appreciate the effort. It's a great watch though, wear it well. Might consider getting this watch for a friends wedding. Would go so well with a suit. [emoji57]

Yep, totally agree, to me it's the perfect MODERN dress watch, ie very classy, but given the cushion shape (and also the seconds @6 to a lesser extent), not boring at all.

Nice choice for a wedding indeed !

Hi there, which TD did you buy your watch from? I noticed that the screws on the back are not blue in color.

The One Watches.
Yep, they told me about the blue screws before I placed the order. I did not care.

There seem to be two completely different prices for this watch - some dealers are selling one around the $150 mark. Is there a vast difference between the two? From the pictures it's hard to notice anything glaringly obvious, though the movements do look slightly different.

Can any owners of this rep tell me if the automatic winding is smooth i.e. does the rotor spin smoothly throughout its circle? Also, what is the power reserve of this watch please?

Have seen the new gen version:

Any info to rep this one?
I do think this one looks even more classy :) and of course easier to rep.

Thanks for posting and letting me know! That's a good looking watch - with a clean moon (not the one with the face drawn on :)
Just one thing that wouldn't float my boat is the word "Automatic". Always feel somehow weird about that. Still would love to see just a clean watch dial - for me that would be simple elegance, However, I can imagine, for others that would maybe be too simple?

Automatic winding is smooth and the power reserve is good as well- seems to be in line with my Seiko 5, i.e. roughly around 40 hours. But don't just take my word on it. Determine which movement has the one you're looking at - Mine has a 2813 auto movement, which is the most basic of all movement - and go to the dedicated part of the forum.
