Don´t have any idea which factory this came from, but it´s very close to gen as far as I could see.
..I had the chance to check the GEN out this weekend on a jewelry store nearby, and for what I could see and remember from mine (as I wasn´t with it on my wrist), they´re pretty close and even dimensions are almost the same!

GEN:
height = 40mm
wide = 41mm
thickness = 11,25mm

REP:
height = 40mm
wide = 41mm
thickness = 11,33mm

It wears superbly on the wrist, and the leather strap style from Cartier allows us to adjust it the best you want it to sit on your arm, so it´s good for any wrist size, being it thin or not...

Movement is an a23j, and is keeping great time since I got it, no issues, ticking like a champ, and pretty silent too, nothing to complain about it!

The original has concentric circles on the seconds dial. Can't tell from the rep images but the seconds dial appears to be a little flat... (no circles)

The rep strap is standard rep leather... it´s stiff, but the grain is nicely done and it allows a good adjustment and fitting for all wristsizes since it has no drilled holes on it, the adjustment is made due to the clasp, as the Santos or the Calibre, folding the leather strap to inside.

This rep is one of the most accurate Cartiers I have ever seen. The case has virtually the same measures to GEN, except for the thickness which the GEN is 11,25mm and the REP is 11,33, but other than that, it´s all really the same.

Dial is flawless! I was with the GEN on my wrist last week as I was invited by my Cartier AD to come to see the new watches that arrived and believe me, this rep is no shame at all, what was more surprising to me is that the deployant clasp of the REP brings a better feeling, even with more quality, than the GEN! After checking the GEN in details, I gotta say that I am even more impressed with this rep.
It´s so good I´m going to get another one for me as soon as they get available again here.

Here´s a close up of my watch, the seconds subdial HAS the concentric circles, as per gen, also, the placement is accurate as it should be AND it´s recessed as per GEN too...
Believe me, this watch is really, REALLY as good as it gets!

I went yesterday to a Cartier store and tried on the gen Cartier Drive.
great watch, sits well on my wrist, like a lot.
However I noted 2 things that were quite disappointing:
-Sapphire has no AR and in the store with lot of Spotlight has a lot of Reflections
- Leather band felt a bit hard and cheap for a gen
Now I am thinking that a good rep with a seperate high quality hand made leather band and extra AR (if possible) probably looks better than the Gen...

What's the word people... any news on an updated Drive? The ETA2824 version has a dodgy 'CARTIER' engraving on the back and the quartz version... well... it's a quartz. Also be interesting to see any Cartier experts macro-reviewing the face - notwithstanding the amazing images by Spirit...
