Disappointed with QF Daytona Meteorite (Heavy Version)

Ordered item "Rolex - Daytona 116509 40mm SS/SS Meteorite Dial QF V3 SH4130 (Tungsten Heavy Version)" at 998 USD from Steve.

Watch arrived and sharing the pics below, I can guarantee that there is no Tungsten on the bracelet and the overall the quality of the bracelet is SUBPAR, like old cheap replicas, not only is loose on the clasp but also sounds like a squeaky toy when moved around.

Overall case is heavy, details are OKish, meteorite not fully visible. Definitely the biggest replica regret.

Steve did offer a refund on the bracelet but still with the issue that every time I take it off from wrist or will wear it it makes weird noises, also the feel of the bracelet and claps is very light and cheap.

1. Anyone with similar experiences?
2. Where can I source a high quality bracelet that says Au750 on it?

yes I did and purchased a Clean Factory one with was suberb specially with the size of the case. Took the chance on QF because they had the heavy version (Clean does not have). The squeaky I literally just fixed by washing with soap and warm water (saw on youtube that happens with few Gens) NOW.. the quality of the bracelet still and feels very very cheap. Clean Factory bracelet ia heavier and feels better on the wrist and touch and it js not even a heavy version.

The challenge with some replicas that are heavy version is that the Gen version bracelet is also gold (my case white gold) I have have a hand full of Gens in two tone gold or full gold and you can tell by just holding the QF it that is is a replica.

Clean Daytona dont have this issue since is a Stainless steel on the Gen version as well. I ordered mine from Ctime and it is a big win.

seems like the tone is different as I compared both also Clean does not have Au750 engraved them

Well, it IS closer to original in weight.

I did my research and could not find a single solid post on Heavy Weight watches apart for a couple of opinions on "I believe Tungsten is applied at case and clasp" my post is not a complaint it is for awareness.

I can guarantee there is NO tungsten at bracelet nor clasp at QF model, the cherry at the top was a V2 sharpie handwritten on a sticker under the QF logo sticker when on website it says V3 and that could not be spotted during QC, unfortunately if anyone would like to believe they will need to take my word for that as I threw it away but I have to have a good imagination to come up with something as specific as that or they can order one and remove the QF sticker and see for themselves.

Meteorite is QF Weighted Tungsten
Congo is CF Stainless Steel
Both surprisingly have the same crystal size
CF is thinner on case+crystal height

I asked TD to source a bracelet for the Meteorite no luck, will leave as is

I really believe you. but i am more connaisseur in the GMF daydate section about tungsten, where in the bracelet there is some tungsten.
The thing is, at the moment best option may be the new XING tungsten cases and bracelets with stainless steel arount it.




About the sticker: dont ever give a fuck about a sticker, the version can be written on whatever watch it is: here, 10usd for some BTF and CLEAN stickers. hint: they also fit on AAA cheapie daytonas

For 1) you got the perfect answer. It will not be cheap, the case alone is about 1000usd+ - but maybe worth it for you?
Another PRO for this bracelet would be that it is easy getting plated, not like some tungsten aloys or PVD watches.

2) the daydate from Gmf Is very good in quality IMO. xtal "can" be upgraded and the bezel yeah, talking about that, I think VSF Datejust bezels fit much better and look more genlike than stock bezels. But i can tell you, within 2 years, alot changes in this industry. Not only batches of parts, but even part suppliers of the factorys. So you may give it another try

In all honesty, Steve will always say "it's very good", His standards and yours are different and you can't believe everything they say.

The only thing you can believe in is that they won't run away with your money and you'll get your order. When it comes to details..... take it with a grain of salt.

QF is generally regarded as inferior to Clean. Which is why most of the Daytona enjoyers steer clear of it. Of course some of us own QF but it comes with the expectation that it isn't as good as Clean

Last of all - I would not chase heavily the idea of perfection in a precious metal replica. You will always have trade offs. It will never be perfect. Either accept that steel with less weight is the better v
