DHGate Mini Review: AP 15400

So I jumped down the DhGate rep rabbit hole, I was curious. Joined the China Time Reddit which is devoted to cheap Chinese reps.

All was revealed, Jason007 and a guy named Wu seem to be the top dealers. They have DhGate stores but their Yupoo albums have jaw dropping amounts of rep watches, the photos are interesting. All I assume are below $150.00, thing is you have to contact them via WhatsApp which I haven't done yet. Wu provides a QC video of his watches which people really like.

Yayyy, you've inspired me to wake up my dhgate for a wear. It was getting so lonely. ​​​​​​
I got this cause I love the skeleton gen, saw one on some guys wrist. Of corse the rep doesn't do it any justice, but for $60, I'm good.
As meantioned in this thread, they aren't very dependable. Mine stopped working after a month. I smacked it a few times and nothing happened. Then put it in the box and forgot about it. Few months later, wound it up and it started working again, no smack required.

Today I received my 15400 dhgate watch from Jason007. I am blown away by the craftsmanship, hard to believe this watch is $105 (with shipping to Mexico).

The craftsmanship is not at the level of my ARF Oyster Perpetual or ZZF 116610, but certainly good enough for me to get a sense of "do I want to purchase a better replica?

Have you purchased a dhgate AP ROO Diver on a bracelet ? That is my next dhgate search. I contacted Jason007 and he said the AP ROO Diver on bracelet is out of stock.

• Need to clean the bracelet and loctite screws
• Would rather a 2824 movement even if the case was thicker
• The spinning of Miyota 9015 does not instill confidence, will try oil on the rotor
• Small imperfections bracelet, pieces not the exact same size
• Screws of bracelet and watch case too short
• On my 7" wrist might want the 15450 instead of the 15400
• Would like to see a comparison of U1, JF, ZF

Hard to imagine the JF or ZF being $300 better with the same Miyota 9015 movement

Doesn't the DHGate AP 15400 have the DG 2813 movement? If it does have the Miyota 9015 movement, that would be a great deal. Nice pictures BTW.

I am not sure, I just assumed the movement is a Miyota 9015 because of the spinning rotor. Maybe it is a DG2813, I don't know.

That’s not a miyota movement in there. But yes the JF or ZF one which has the miyota is equally noisy. It’s a nice watch for the money you paid.

Glad this worked out for you museguy! It's not a perfect Rep, but it's enjoyable and that's all I was looking for...it's a great hobby and there's room for many different perspectives. As long as we get what we're looking for, how could that be a bad thing! Enjoy it!
