Decal printed dial

Bart and I have been going back and forth with getting g some more explorer dial files prepped for decal printing. I'm about finished converting a gen 1016 service dial scan into vector files; should make for a nice base for silver or gold gilt 1016 dials. Just need to switch out the crown as service dials had "frog foot"-ish coronets which I don't think came on any iterations of the gilt dials (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). Easy swap from another Illustrator file though I reckon...

Great work !

Tried to build my 5500 this morning. But my ETA 2846 is not adapted to 1002 gen case.
Ruined the dial with Bergeon protector when I wanted to remove the hands. I have to make a new dial again...

Hazza Merci !

And it´s great, You´ve really mastered this art of decal printing.
The formula for the lume compound You´re using looks 100% exactly as mine homemade mixture:)

I have problems to mix lume these days. I use acrylic matt varnish, Nemoto powder, white acrylic paint and a bit of terre de sienne pigment.
This work well for my first builds, easy to apply. But now it's thick and gluey, very hard to apply and the result is bad. Any advise would be appreciated ;)

Merci beaucoup.

The basic recipe is similar, without the acrylic matt varnish and I do mix very little at a time, which can just be used on night 1 and the following day if covered up and diluted with some drops of water.
http://watchlume.com/RELUME-KITS plus acrylic white, yellow ochre, raw sienna, some of the compound that kit comes with just to give the right consistency, drop of water if it starts drying. Variations include tiny bits of Nescafé if I want it more grainy or even less mercurechrome for reddish strains on Panerai.

Bart,
Fantastic work - love it!
I think I saw it, but wasnt sure - do you think you could take this and make faded ones (I'm looking for a slightly faded black/gray explorer or sub) If you do or can, please let me know. Thanks!
Keep up this great work!

Thanks you.
Hope to have time to work on a 1675 dial soon.
My projects progressing. Just completed my friend 6538, and a new dial for my 5513.
