Decal printed dial

I think you have to print these on an inkjet. I tried printing on a high end laser printer at work and the dials looked not great. There’s a free photo editing software called GIMP that allows you to size the files prior to printing but the dials are splotchy.

Yes... I actually asked a printer to do it and he has a super high resolution inkjet. He confirmed its not for laser.

I picked up a $50 printer at Walmart and am hoping for better results this evening. Hope the wife didn’t make dinner plans

The psd files are not really needed.
The "7924_V3_29mm.jpg" file is 3425/3425 pixels, that gives a 3000 ppi definition when resized to 29/29mm.
And you still can resize the file to a 4000 ppi defiinition if you have a very good photo printer.
I've tried higher definition (up to 5000 ppi) and the best result was with 4000 ppi files.

Of course, if you want to modify the image, psd files could be usefull, but ... come on ...
Bart already did a great gift to all the members here while giving acces to his jpg files ... so, IMHO, asking for psd files would be like "keep your cake and eat it too".
With Photoshop you can easily separate all the different elements, paste them on different layers then rework some parts and keep the other unchanged.

Or, as you are a graphist and know how to work on Photoshop, you could do like some members here (including myself) ... get inspired by Bart's work but design your own files.
Then your dials will be 1000% yours and you'll soon be able to build any dial you want as soon as you can get some good pics of the original.

P.S.: désolé d'écrire en anglais mais c'est dans le but d'être compris par tous (ou à peu près tous)

That is what I think.
I will follow Bart's method and redraw the originals. So I will learn a lot about CAD and dial-design and will create my own files. Something to do on long winter afternoons :)
I will try it in french: Merçi beaucoup, Bart! Tu m'as donné une grande inspiration.

Anybody having issues with vertical white lines in the black portion of the watch dial when they print? I picked up a brand new ink jet for this task and it prints great on paper but has faint vertical lines through the black on the decal paper. I’m using generic transparent decal paper from Amazon (20 A4 sheets for $18)
