Thanks. I know that 15 or 20$ is not that much. But I just want to be fair. I will try Hont for the next daytona.

Eric is Geektime. He is not an official TD here, which is why I only ever say Eric because people in the know understand. I think the mods didn't like that he wouldn't give us a source or something when he first came to this site long ago, and they told him he would never be a TD. If you go back and look at the old threads, they sort of treated him like shit, and he moved on from this forum. I would say his service is very similar to Li's. He speaks English very well, has fewer customers, works weekends, has the same shipping, quick service, and he follows the same rules as any other TD with the same return/replace policy, and is a TD everywhere else but here. But again, he is not an official TD of THIS forum. My top three are Eric, Li and Hont in that order for a number of reasons and I have made about 35 purchases in the last year and never had any issues.

I don't know what you mean. Personally, I think it looks great, and I greenlit it and had it sent out to my watchmaker. Its going to look great in a BTF shell.

Lol. You have to be careful when you say edge because, as you know, there is a thin border around each subdial which isn't always seen, especially in angled shots like that, and depending on how the light is refracting. I like the comparison, and I still think the dial looks fantastic.

But if I were going for gen dial, I would pay Nikz to get me one. At $4400, I don't think the price is warranted unless you were going full gen or if that was the last piece of the puzzle on a nice franken build. But at $150 for a Clean V3 matte dial look thrown into a BTF v2 base, I think it's incredibly worth the money for under $1K.

Again, I look at things the way they are. These are reps, and they will never be perfect. I understand we have a lot of folks that look at these 50x images and see tons of flaws, and I have no issues with that. To each their own. I will look at it 1 ft away and be extremely happy. Others will look at it from 3 -5 feet away and think it's a marvel. Most of the time, the only tell of a replica is the person wearing it.

There is a really cool meme posted on this site somewhere that shows the picture of the reality of how people view watches from a distance on your wrist and I wish I would have saved it. Maybe some clever member has it saved.

I did also buy the BTF from Eric. The last 6 watches I bought were from him over the last few weeks

I'm tempted to try this Eric fella, he sounds promising. I hope he won't turn bad before I get around to ordering my next watch. I think I may be in for a long long wait with the current one from Jtime...fun times...

There are plenty of good TDs that have faster service than Li. You just have to try them out and chat with them and see who you feel comfortable with. Cmaster once put me in touch with Marv from Marvelous watches, and he is also very good. I think most just go straight to Jtime because of Li's stellar reputation without trying others. And that is good for newbies that need hand holding, but we have a LOT of really god TDs in the TD section that could be equally as good if given the chance.

Furthermore, lets not convolute the thread as this is supposed to be about Clean Daytonas ;)
