Probably too much demand but also they weren't successful so they scrapped it. I don't blame them for removing the threads

CBD isn’t full tungsten
i didn’t notice in qc but now it seems they’re using the the YG case mold from the 126xxx daytonas?
The lugs aren’t straightened out under the case like the YG 116xxx and it’s not steep enough to be the RG case.

-The links are thicker and it comes with 13 links instead of 12. Bezel font is wrong all the way around.

The bracelet has 2 tungsten core pieces out of 3 compared to QF which is 1 out of 3.

a lot of things that aren’t accurate vs gen but I was going to change out the bezel, dial and hands to SW.
Honestly it’s not bad from CBD.
It could be a good base to work from if you get the correct case for the build you want.

They are pioneering this technique of thickening the links to try to add more weight. That’s what they’ve done with the CBD day dates as well.

When they’re diverging from gen spec, that’s a step backwards. Not forwards.

The biggest issue is the incorrect case shape. They’re using the “new case shape” for an “old case shape” reference. Suppose you could build a 126 YG Daytona on it if you desired, but still - seems like a shit show.

New case shape - all 126xxx, 116 RG PT WG
Old case shape - 116xxx YG, SS

APSF is a solid tungsten head with a foil-like wrap. Prone to damage but if you get a good one, you should be fine.

I have a ZF Tungsten 116515 at home that I had planned to use in a build. The case back is noticably thicker. ZF is 12.5mm thick compared to Gold Factory, CF & BTF at 12.2mm.

That's good info Looks like all the factories are cutting corners with these "heavy versions"

Might still be some months before we see anything that's usable, where we wont need to compromise

I didn’t want to make a new thread… been so interested in getting a Daytona rep. Had a gen, but decided to sell it at close to the height of the market an while ago.

I’ve only had a YM heavy version that I love for precious metal. Is it really that big of a difference with an oysterflex for a Daytona? It seems otherwise getting an APSF with the head weight would be best if it is noticeably different in the wrist? Haven’t had this much choice anxiety for a rep in a long time! Thanks in advance for any advice if anyone has had both!

This is not true. I’m speaking from personal experience. I have APSF and QF builds.

He means that they added weight to the rubber strap lol
