Blackrose. You MAD?
I saw pictures of his burgundy croc straps and they had a red packpiece. Pretty sure i was going to get the same. It makes sense to use red because it matches or even black or brown. I would never expect to have a natural color on the back. When ordering the strap, orloff never mentioned anything about the backside and i almost forgot about it. I believed it would be the same as his other burgundy crocs with red backside.
The natural backside does not work for me, so i asked if he can remake me one. If not possible that is fine. So now i am asking if there is a way to treat the leather and make it a medium brown. I was also advised by Gunny straps that its possible to dye the leather or put mink oil.
If customer is not 100% happy with the final product, i believe the strap maker should listen to the customer and try to work something out together.
If Orloff is able to darken the backpiece leather i would buy the strap. It seems easy to do after talking to Gunny and also hearing from Tootall.
Thanks Tootall for the recommendation on pecards leather conditioner. I guess it works the same as mink oil?
Your just wrong and upset you "almost forgot" about the back or whatever else your saying.
As a tailor, if you don't like the color combo of the lining to the base fabric that you picked then I am sorry, I will discount the next blazer, but I already sweated for your requirements.
Go ahead with that slap face crap, assumptions are just that. You keep referencing other people straps, maybe ask them of they asked for red, personally I would have asked for black, red looks tacky.
Do what you want and handle how you want, but the only person to blame for not having a custom piece made exactly how you want it is by not telling the designer what you exactly want, which seems like burg croc and tonal thread, I am done with talking about this, but don't try to talk about someone's customer service when they sent you actuals of the swatch......
