Serious question for the experts of this model...

Have others reported the Clean bezel issues? Specifically, have members received watches with detached and over-greased bezels, or had the bezel fall off shortly after receipt?
Over greased bezel is the hall mark of Clean GMT. In fact there's a pinned post in the Rolex subforum just on how to fix this.

But I've NEVER ever seen a complaint that the bezel has fallen off. 0.

Thanks, Caboose and Reaps!

So it's a known flaw/fact.

Going out on a limb here...it's possible that the bezel was knocked loose in transit and smeared grease all over the crystal and watch inside the package during its journey. OP is excited to open his new modded watch and discovers a greasy mess. OP has spent a decent amount on his order and is furious. OP contacts the dealer immediately using words like scam/scammer and escalates things by using obscenities and death wishes. The dealer discontinues the dialog. OP posts review. We are now here.

i dont think the last few pages of this have helped anyone.
The court of public opinion tends to only muddy the waters...

It might be time for the mods to lock this one and then let us know the outcome.

Here's why I think OP is suspect beyond belief.

He posts a picture with the bezel deattached, implying it came like that.

But in his conversation, he implies that when he recieved the watch, the bezel was still on the watch, albeit really difficult to turn. He constantly complains about the bezel action being stiff with no click.

"You need 5 hands to turn this bezel."

This implies the bezel was still on the watch when he recieved it, and he could turn it. It wasn't knocked loose. He took it apart to see what was wrong and posted that image.

So already his story has holes in it.

@FunkyAP clean your watch of grease, post pics of the watch face on, showing the second hand centre pinion mod. Post pics of the tops and sides of the lugs, the bracelet links from face on and the sides.
Post pics of the clasp, outer face and sides.
Post pics of the dirt grease on the inside of the crystal.
These pics should be high resolution, well lit and in focus. Get these pics up quickly - the screen shots of your ranting didn't do you any favors.

No more posts off topic, this is between the OP and @CTime, they should be the only people posting now, along with RWI staff.

@FunkyAP , you've been online frequently over the last few hours. You've 'engaged in conversation', you've read this thread, and you've read other threads, you've spent time browsing the forum.
Considering the accusations made in this thread, I expect to see pics revealing all the defects you claimed this watch contained.

Hurry, time is pressing.

Hello back everybody,

I spoke with Ctime in private.

Here is story :

I ordered 2 watches from CTime :

- PPF 5712 v2 watch itself 738$
- SW dial, hands moonphase 398$
- install all parts and fix pinion cap 188$
- flexible end link 88$
- slightly polish the watch 188$
-shipping
-engraved plate $348
- movement service 108 $

- pepsi from Clean $598
- waterproof upgrade $48
- fix pinion cap 88$
- slightly polish the watch 188$
-deep crystal $108
-shipping $40
The transaction went smooth and I explain clearly that I want perfect work done.
When the Pepsi came, it arrived with one screw in the bracelet unscrewed. Is it normal For an upgraded watch ? Once I tried it, the bracelet opened direct ok no big deal. The watch was very dirty like very very dirty (and greasy bracelet and crystal) the picture I posted with the bezel open it’s me who open it because it was very hard to turn, the more I try to turn the more grease come into the crystal. When I opened it I found a lot of grease and it went everywhere. Edges in the watch are not smooth at all, I doubt very much that it had been polished or very badly done. I washed the watch with water soap and soft brush maybe 10 times in total and still something is wrong. Then I went to a normal watch repair to fix the bracelet it costs me around 10 $. Crystal is poor quality or there some dust inside because it become blurry and for me that work doesn’t deserve 108 $.

When the 5712 arrived, no problem at first sight, despite the fact that again the watch is extremely dirty. 2 important point I paid for a movement service and other mods but when u close the crown u can hear an ear-piercing and loud sound and the rotor is extremely noisy. And for the crystal it almost same story then the Pepsi blurry like not clear, I read that PPF one is good I don’t know, let me know. When the dial doesn’t pop up clearly u cannot enjoy the watch.

So in conclusion, when I pay to upgrade a watch with mods from a TD that advertise freely in RWI so as a trusted modder. My expectations is to receive a perfect watch. If I want to upgrade the ppf with 1300 $ of mods it’s maybe because I want to wear it and like it fully not to hear a bike running in my wrist because of the loud rotor. When I pay for polishing I expect the watch to arrive with smooth edges and clean. When I pay for a crystal or dial upgrade, I expect the crystal to be replaced perfectly and meticulously. I expected from CTime to check the watches before shipping if the screw are good if it’s clean if everything it’s okay. U can’t see everything in QC Pic. For me it’s not the same process when u order a fully mod watch and stock watch. In my opinion u cannot advertise here, have the advantages to have many members clients orders and send dirty watch with poor-middle work done and have a lack of consideration on clients and specially with this prices. A sentence like everyone have different standard or you can’t see it with bare eyes or just go to any watchsmith to fix the bracelet and silent the rotor with oil, excuse me but it’s difficult for me to accept it after u have paid a generous amount of money and accepted all condition from the TD/modder. Plus i have to find someone to clean and place meticulously the crystals because of that blurry. In our last discussion with CTime he told me the modder tried his best and everyone have his opinion. The prices are high, I already fully modded a watch with Thomas and Domi price was maybe same but the watch that arrived was perfect and clean, if something was not good he would have detect it before shipping and fix it because they want their clients to be happy, the job is done in exchange of money, and that’s business. Client happy = Seller Happy.
For me a TD is not like a modder…
My mistake, now I have to go find a watchsmith 😂

This thread didn't get off to a great start - screaming ' SCAM !' to attract attention rarely works as well as people of your generation expect.

It didn't look good when @CTime still hadn't replied here after several days .

Then it went seriously down hill when @CTime posted screen shots of your hysterical neurotic ranting.

Blah blah blah zoom zoom zoom, yoom yoom yoom. My expectations is to receive a perfect watch. Blah, zoom, yoom, blah.

You frequently refer to expecting a 'perfect watch'. If your life is so empty, so meaningless, that you think a 'perfect watch' will some how give you the status you crave then I can only assume you must be a fan of Andrews'Taint.

'Perfect watches' don't exist - everything is relative, including perfection. You do have the right to receive what you paid for, however, you seem unwilling/incapable of posting pics of the faults you claim exist in the watch you purchased.

I asked you to post pics of your watch, others suggested you post pics of the watch. Everybody is still waiting. If you can't post pics of the watch and it's issues, then we have to assume you're full of shit.

So, you mean, all of this was just a

OP had better provide some proof of all this or I'm going to be very unhappy. Both Trip and myself have spent way too much time on this if it turns out you are full of bullshit. Not only that but you are doing damage to CTime's reputation of a type that would result in legal action in a lot of circumstances.

I say don’t do any mods on a brand new rep. This could’ve prevented the problem.

First it’s not full of shit,

Second you telling me it’s ok you can pay 2000 $ for a watch including 1300 $ mods and it can arrive to you with either the work badly done. If it’s how you defend the interests of this community…good for u …And Mr Tripdog your agressive speech is just blabla…I never said perfect is perfect like a genuine watch…I am saying the job that you paid for has to be done perfectly…when I pay for mods the watch can’t arrive broken even if it’s a screw, when the is a movement service the watch can’t arrive with a crown problem…of you prefer that member make and pay for mods that they have no proof it has been made…and again everything is telling me that either not all mods have been done or either badly done….since Ctime refused to send me one picture during the work…

Third I am talking with Ctime in private…as I said.

That doesn't stop you from providing photos here, does it? I am beginning to think that you have grossly overstated the issues involved.
I'm not saying there were not problems but it would appear from your reluctance to show them that they are not anywhere near as bad as you made out.

Update:
We were trying to make things clear and figuring out what he was not happy with, so we could ask our partner watchsmith in US to redo everything he requires.
FunkyAP didn't want to ship his watches to our partner and claimed the watches are all in terrible condition.
He prefers to ship them back to China and get full refund, but the China customs could seize them.
So after discussing, he will keep the watches and we refunded 1k usd for the pease of mind.
I suppose it's solved @trailboss99 @tripdog Sorry for bothering
