[CONSENSUAL LIST] Super Reps NWBIGs

Could someone explain why these super reps come in plastic boxes and not in "authentic" ones?

My first reaction to this was, "this has to be the dumbest question ever" but obviously you are serious and clearly new to the rep game.

I have bought 20+ reps & not one has come in any sort of branded box. They usually come well padded in a plastic bag wrapped so as not to get damaged or scratched.

if you want a box, you are going to have to buy that separately.

I put my watches in 1 of two places: on my wrist, or in my watch box so I have no need for a fancy box. I will concede that I have kept all my nice boxes that have come with every gen, but that is 100% so that I have it if/when I want to sell the watch down the road.

My question to you is: what exactly are you going to do with a nice branded box? For me the answer is I am going to have one more box that I have to find a place to keep. I am super glad I am not spending more money for Reps than we already are because they are including a nice branded box.

Rolex make the shittest boxes on earth. Lol. It’s unbelievable that they charge £8k for a watch and supply it in those crappy flimsy boxes. With glued on sides. At the very least their boxes should be hard wood with soft leather lining similar to Omega for example.

I strongly agree. Rolex boxes are shit compared to other brands; plus they do 600% margin at the very least on their watches.

That being said, I like the Rolex green and the 114300 is great in it.

I have a gen white gold day date and the box has been in a cupboard since I bought it, 14 years ago. They are just boxes that you need to keep hold of in case you want to sell. A Rolex looks much better in a proper watch box sitting with the rest of your collection.

I have boxes for both of my gen Rolex and they sit in a cupboard too, whilst my watches sit in my safe. Whilst I love the boxes and they do feel nice, it's not about them,, it's about the watches, for me. I'd never buy a rep box. What would be the point?
