Okay please don’t throw tomatoes. Here it goes:
I have neither the rep or the gen in hand so I used Hoodinkee, the replica, the TTW video and, and various shots from other sites to compliment the actual shown above of the replica versus the gen. To add to this, I’m doing this from my iPhone. But I want to lay it out there per request:
The GF factory referred to also as the G factory is supposedly so called because of its focus on Glashuttes. It makes the senator seventies replica in the bubble bezel already deemed a super rep (I think it’s missing from this list but is pretty much considered one — the side by sides have been done here and elsewhere and are extremely good in some colors and less good in the complicated turquoise fade to navy and orange fade to brown dial options for the obvious reason of ambitious color matches) - @Repworld can comment on this further.
Dial: the dial is close to perfection. In the photo there is a bit of glare and with a prof AR swap it would be 1:1. The lume application lifts the numbers a tiny fraction both on the replica and on the genuine. I noticed this at Tourneau and double checked the replica last night to confirm this point. The Dial is black matte and the white Arabic numerals are identical and crisp. Obviously the fact that this is a black matte watch in gen Dial makes it a simpler replica than some others.
The thickness is a weakness. The replica is 0.6mm thicker than the genuine. That said, it’s not perceptible on the wrist. It accommodated Asia 2824 movement and has a very smooth second hand sweep.
The crown is 1:1 as is the tang buckle. I couldn’t get great photos but hopefully someone can add to that.

(My QC was in plastic and came in at 10.86 — I’ve been told to subtract 0.1-0.15mm from each side for plastic wrap)
The rotor is not 1:1 but it’s pretty convincing. You’d really need them in hand to tell. The dominant gold plated rotor part imprinted with the Glashutte Logo overwhelms both the gen and the replica. I’ll let those more experienced then I am weigh in on whether the open-back is perceptibly different.
I hope this is a reasonable start for those interested in the watch. The GF Factory has sort of distinguished itself recently as best in class and I am excited for the next models that Glashutte releases.

Agree thicker. 0.6 is not much but on a slim watch that is 10mm it’s something to take into account. Unsure if that disqualifies it as a super rep and puts it into the NWBIG category?

I actually think the Senator excellence rotor is better because 40% of it is floating gold engraved metal plate and hides the differences very effectively. Rather lucky that the gen has one big chunk of metal that conceals a good deal of the movement. Closed back would be ideal but to me we caught a lucky break on this open back that puts it at a higher level.

You sound like the one who is a bit ignorant.
This forum is to check the smallest of details in things and check for every flaw. Each watch on this list at least took 3-4 hours of research to consider. You would think a price Would be easy enough to just type next to the watch.
