[CONSENSUAL LIST] Super Reps NWBIGs

Someone already mentioned it a page or two ago but I just wanted to second that the new DateJust from VSF is definitely NWBIG/Super rep in my opinion. There's been one or two extremely vocal people complaining about the lug sharpness (and they don't own the watch) but many more disagree. People are starting to get them in person now and they're living up to all the hype and factory photos.

Absolutely, the VSF DJ41 is NWBIG in my opinion. No super rep due to the crystal (cyclops to be precise) and dial (seem to be a little darker than gen).

I would say the gray dial isn't a super rep - agreed that it's darker. For most of the colors I think we're seeing extremely close, imperceptibly close, to gen.

What's wrong with the cyclops - just that it lacks the blackhole effect?

The cyclops lack the halo effect due to the absence of the bevel on VSF

I did side by side shots with a gen crystal. You can spot the diffrerence right away - can't be unseen once you know it.

What about the planet ocean 39.5 by VSF? Eventhough I’m not sure about the shade of the orange color is the same as gen. Since the 42 and 45mm version are considered as the first class, I think the 39.5 is an interesting piece. Any thoughts?

Don't really need to side by side, it's pretty obvious even in hand. I wouldn't consider it a Super Rep for that matter. Maybe First Class, probably!

I'd propose to keep ARF in the list, both have their strengths. VSF white/pale fluted bezel is quite obvious in hand. ARF and VSF need to be modded to make them look convincing.

Rolex 114300, 39mm, Grape and Grey dial JF (now ARF, service is recommended)

So shoot me if this is a stupid question, but why is it, that this watch is still service-recommended after two years? I could understand this in the beginning, but isn't there any further on-going development? No adaptations as to make sure the watch is working without service after all this time it's on the market?

edit: Sadly, it's the only "small" HQ replica for my wrists.
