How about the AP 15710 JF v10 (on the wrist) since the 15703 made the NWBIG with the closed case back? [h=1][/h]

So shoot me if this is a stupid question, but why is it, that this watch is still service-recommended after two years? I could understand this in the beginning, but isn't there any further on-going development? No adaptations as to make sure the watch is working without service after all this time it's on the market?

edit: Sadly, it's the only "small" HQ replica for my wrists.

I haven't seen any discussion about the manufacture of these movements changing at all. It's possible there's been improvements but my understanding that with most of these clones (VSF's new clone might be the exception) they're basically doing them as cheaply as possible while still working. I figure a replacement chinese movement is... what, like less than $50? I'd rather just wait for it to break and replace with a new one than the expense of getting it serviced.

That said, I would be interested in the motto about servicing it ASAP still holds true. I'm actually about to get an ARF OP39 in the mail that I believe is probably a year old (bought it here used) so it'll be interesting to see how long it lasts. I will say the 2824 movement in my UBF OP39 has given me problems occasionally (won't start after setting the time) but it's very uncommon.

As a follow up, I got a 3132 clone movement in an ARF OP39 and it does in fact need servicing. It doesn't wind manually very well and didn't at all until after lubrication. Probably the worst rep movement I've handled.

In the consensual list I find Tudor Black/Blue Pelagos V6F/XF V2/3/4 as super reps. However from various TDs I found the V5 version of XF. Generally the latest versions should be better but I don't understand why it is not shown in the consensual list which is updated to 06/02/2021. Maybe the V4 version remains the best?

I could be wrong... but I think some TDs started labelling it the V5 because of a change from Miyota9015 movement to A2824. You'll be very happy with the V5, it's extremely good. The biggest flaws are just quality control issues IMO... marker alignment, date wheel centering, and noticeable gap between bracelet and case.

285 pages.. wow.. I dont know if this was already discussed.. but why is it that on the "Not Worth Buying in Gen" list, there are so many PAMs ? I never liked PAM so I think it isnt worth buying at all, but now that I see all these NWBIG supers, I was thinking about looking into a PAM just for fun.. but then SO many in the not worth buying list.. makes me wonder if its Not Worth Buying In *General*..

PAM are the type of watches you get... or you dont get.

I don't get them.

My friend gets them and he loves them.... you either GET them... or you dont. No in-between.
