Did anyone buy JF 15400 gray dial?
If so can you post some pics?

It is compare them both in low light or dimlight and the differences are gigantic.

Yup in low light it's not that good.
I'm thinking about doing that silver Sharpie mod myself.

I'm not sure why there is so much hate on the blue. The blue hue changes so much in the light it's hard to pin it to one colour to compare to the gen. I've seen the gen blue and it's almost the exact same colour. If anything the white dial is much easier to tell JF from gen because JF white reflects those little grey/black shadows in the tap, when gen is pure white.

Blue dial is much shinier and brighter in daylight, even low light compared to gen. Gen is much more toned down, darker. And how the light runs on the tappiserie is another issue.

Slightly smaller. it's 41mm and much-much thinner (10.5mm) than Diver.

Top pic is very helpful to understanding the relative size of these– the sub is particularly helpful, since almost everyone is familiar with it.

This is my impression too. The gen blue is a darker and more subdued shade. That delta is more obvious on the rg version due to greater contrast.

There is also a thread here where someone has posted gen and rep dials of all 15400s. Useful stuff.

You got it right mate. Sometimes i really wonder why cant the JF R&D just take a little more initiative to get it more closer to gen like. After all, they already invested so much effort to replicate the watch, for example the tappiserie waffle on jf sits higher, rounder on the edges and smaller. Compared to gen which is a fraction larger, sits lower, and squarer in shape. :( Sigh....

When will the v3 will come? I want to order the v2, but maybe the v3 will come very soon...

If i were you and really like the watch, i would order now and get done with it. V3 will come then rumours of V4 , then rumours of V5 , then v6..... you get the drift

And you never know if the next one will actually be worth waiting for. Or even if the next one has new issues.
