It is not that hard to change the hour makers. Tried it myself too on my BK DSSD 1 year ago. only thing is you have to hope that the holes on the dial are the same size. When I removed the hour markers on a trevor dial (it had bigger thinner hour markers) to replace the smaller hour makers on my noob dial, I saw that the holes were much smaller on the Noob dial then on the Trevor dial. That meant redrilling all the holes. And yes that is a PITA. In the pic you can see the difference in size. Left is small hole is Noob and right is big hole is Trevor

I am making any sense here? I hope i am not offending anyone but geez guys its a freaking rep.
No, you're uttering complete and utter nonsense. You've never been called out have you?

Last Friday, after weeks of building up the nerve, I wore my SMP chrono on the subway. It didn't take long before I spotted them, yup, the repgeeks glowering in the corner of the crowded subway car with their perfect 1:1 super-reps. I knew I made a mistake when I made eye contact and it was all over. Yup, in front of everyone, I got called out! Their laughter and pointing fingers still burn with pain in my memories. One after another...
- Hey you, the hands on those sub-dials are too short!
- That pearl is about as gen-like as a Kardashian marriage!
- Worse AR ever! Even a vampire could see his reflection in your crystal!

This went on until the next subway stop where I ran out of the car in tears and tossed my rep into the nearest trash can. I'll never wear anything less than a super rep again.

The border on the hour markers and the size of the area covered by lume within is still a big tell tale IMO! I don't know why but I literally feel frustrated looking at this watch! Why can't the noob fac get some pointers from the BP fac? I was gonna get the green one till I saw this review! Still too much room for improvement! Maybe next year they'll get it right!

Wow....I thought I had watch OCD. Ok, the noob v2 is a great rep that is just waiting for a new bezel insert. It's not gen, but what rep is perfect for $300.00. This obsession with marker surrounds is really over the top. They are accurate to gen for the earlier dial. What more can you reasonably ask for?

No one in the real world is going to notice the marker surrounds or, for that matter, your watch. I have never had a chick tell me that should would have f-cked me but she cant bring herself to do it because she was turned off by my fat marker surrounds. :D Let's all get a grip! It's all going to be ok!!

Set2374...... I know I'm being anal about this sub but the reason is, this is noob's 3rd attempt at this rep. Perhaps its that imaccustomed to how amazing these recent Pam releases have been and my expectations have heightened because of this. I just think that if BP can get the markers and the bezel right, noob shouldn't have an issue either! Noob is perfectly capable of making a 98% accurate rep as we've seen before, this sub isn't just there yet! My question is.....is this the last version we'll see I his rep?

Everyone has his own tolerance for any given flaw. The hour markers are high on the list for many of us. It completely changes the look of the dial. Second, i am far from convinced that there ever was an early version with thick marker rings. The earliest maxi dial ceramic Rolex was the gmt-iic (which preceded the sub-c), and it had thin lume rings. I have two sub c's from the first year of production, and a gmt-c, and the rims are identical to the "current" version. Bottom line: don't discount the significance of a flaw to others just because it doesn't bother you.

It's understandable your tolerances are very high. It may be best that you just save up and fork out for a gen. There is always going to be some kind of a flaw in reps. You're paying $300 for a watch that looks 98.5273% of a $7000 gen.

Get over it.

For me this is the first noob's attempt on this sub c... Previous versions was repped with a GMT II, wrong case and all.... they only used the v2 nam, to tell that it is a noob and better than v1 to sell better... Now try remember what looked like the first bp's attempt of repping the gen (correct case and all) well i do! and let me tell you that noob did a much much better job for a first try as bp did... wokky rehaut...bad dial...

Now that they bought a gen to rep it, i am sure we ll have updates, like we have for the AP Diver.
Hell they already have one update done apparently, and it's a new bezel..

All i am saying, is it wouldn't take much to email angus and just tell him that a lot of people would want Thin hours markers, to match early gens.. Now if he ask noob to do it, we have to ask him to change the dial too, if i'm not mistaking...??

I know the hour markers are important pieces of the watch, and somes people like it thin somes like it thick... so even if they don't fix this, we are here for that we mod all the time, let's just do ourself what the factory didn't get as we wanted..
