Compare ARF 116710LN with the VRF 116710LN

Their goal is definitely to improve their business, but I don't think we are the market. I always assumed the movement clones and other improvements were intended to help scammers selling reps as gens. A clone 3135 won't fool an AD or major retailer, but it would fool a pawn shop. That market is probably worth much more than the small community of people who actively want increasingly gen-like reps.

We are definitely not the market. I knew that. We make up a minuscule percentage of daily sales.

Ok. I serviced the Vrf3185. Amazing quality. Only thing was the pallet fork lost a stone. So I used one from an VR3135. I also used a real new barrel and spring. Also used two real reversing wheels. One was busted.

Movement is clean an oiled and running amazing. When I get my new dials and hands I plan on putting the movement in my build.

The ARF SH3186 is running ok but the hour jumping is very light and weak, Going in reverse is a joke. I did order a few real 3186 parts and will be changing them to see if that will help. Will keep everyone updated.

so you say the VRF movement is "better" then the one from ARF?

On the ARF Sub the gen gasket won't fit with the rep retainer, and on the ARF DJ the gen gasket won't fit with the rep bezel. So I think the same will apply to this GMT....

Found this part on ebay in case anyone is interested. Nice to know an aftermarket parts exists in case this ends up being the Achilles heel of the movement.
